November 16, 20187 yr Author It seems to be a general problem - at least at FSDT airports, See: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=16861.0 Edited November 16, 20187 yr by Nemo - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

Allready did that 😎 Only stutterfree solution is OPENLCNA for me on those exact locations/spots Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe

Meanwhile I have rebuilt the prepa3D.cfg as suggested by some. Unfortunately, I see no change during my approaches so far. I've not yet tested KSFO/FTX NCA but I have still long frames at KMEM (FSDT) approach. It seems not to be an UTL issue. When I reach the area at 11 pm the airport is pretty empty. One or two hours later, the airporrt is filled up with many FDX planes. Long pauses are present in both situations. I've also tried locked fps (@ 21) with moderate settings and could not recognize any difference to my usual setup (unlocked, VSync/TB on, monitor @ 30Hz). I suspect my GPU is throttling down during some situations - Could this be the culprit, and how could I prove it? I noticed long pauses in my system and after some investigation I discovered that my GPU was dropping its voltage periodically. I used MSI Afterburner and set a fixed voltage (1.1 volts) on my GTX 1080TI. I still have occasional pauses, but, they are not as frequent nor as long. So, for me, a fixed GPU voltage has helped. Danny Thanks for this info. Is 1.1 volts its typical "awake" running voltage for a 1080TI? I don't want to overvolt it, but at the same time if it's going into a low-voltage mode causing a pause, I don't want that either. November 17, 20187 yr I found using sim starterNG or any other scenery manager and turning off scenery you're not using solves allot of the pauses. I have also found that if you are flying in a ORBX region it is best to have Vector and Landclass turned off. Using this approach I have gotten rid of most all pauses and where there were pauses they are just a blip now barley noticeable. This is where sim starter works beautifully. November 17, 20187 yr Mostly those approach stutters come from loading small airport objects in parts.... If you cannot disable all kinds of airport objects / vehicles in the addon menu try with Scenery Conplexity Slider one or to the left. With MAP Frankfurt 2.0 I also experienced it and it were lightpoles and all kind of objects further away from the airport. Setting the SC slider 2 notches to the left solved it. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

The regular voltage for my 1080ti varies from about 0.8 up to 1.2 volts. The voltage during boost is around 1.1 volts. So, I fixed the voltage at the boost level. Fixing the voltage at 1.1 volts has resulted in a max temperature of about 58C. It works for me. Danny Danny
