August 31, 200619 yr I've got to say, the missions are a blast and refreshing. Great that you're able to experience different aspects of flying with voice assisted narration. On one of the missions, there is a fly-in which you hop from a grass strip with the cub to the airstrip. Lifting off and seeing a white fence below with cars on the road and majestic trees surrounded with 5.1 audio was quite a good feeling.
August 31, 200619 yr I don't want to hear about it. I haven't gotten my E-mail.:(Just kidding... Please continue with info like that.. We unlucky, unfortunate kids are being punished by Santa.:)Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
August 31, 200619 yr The missions are awesome, I tried to land on a bus, I was close but I ended up crashing.:(
September 9, 200619 yr Yes, that one is hard! And the Lear dealing with the greens circles around Seattle is really difficult (for me anyway)! The similar one around Sydney is an easiy one!Watching the Beechcraft after landing on the Innsbruck runway is awesome too! The snow loosened by the tires is blowing away by the prop stream! The Amazonas adventure/mission: looking at the Goose from outside swinging in the small lake with the a/c being reflected in the water! The supply flight with the DC-3,... and many more! And the awards you get!Much to appreciate!I am really looking forward to the copy of the FSX Deluxe I have ordered!Haraldh F.

I have followed all the instructions, yet when I land nothing happens. When I quit, the objective thing says, landing "pending".
September 9, 200619 yr I totally agree. When M$ first announced missions were in FSX, I thought they were trying to make it child's play, but it's exactly the opposite. The missions are a blast when you want to take a break of flying and do a little gaming.
September 9, 200619 yr I was the same way also at first, but when I tested a few of them, they were actully a blast, and it was kind of a nice break from the norm. Jeff D. September 9, 200619 yr Yes, my Innsbruck landing was never accepted either! I think I have to try it again, as it is a thrilling approach! But have a look from outside!Haraldh
September 9, 200619 yr HelloOne of the missions you have to fly the ultralight around some hot air balloons and that was quite interesting because another ultralight was doing circuits as well. I spotted a tractor in a field moving up and down and there were some sheep in some fields and when you went up close to the hot air balloons the pilots in the baskets were moving about and waving. The Janet (Area 51) mission was fun as well. Two missions I have found odd quirks in which hopefully had been fixed or were just quirks for me.The mission where you have to learn to taxi in the ultralight had a problem where once you reach the cub parked and you swap planes, the cub would automatically once you switch to it, go tail first into the ground so you would get a crash error, so you would lose the mission and the other mission I had a problem was with the glider mission, one of the first glider missions that is, not the swedish gliding mission. There are 7 gates to go through but for some reason the last gate was invisible and you couldn't see it so that was abit annoying as well. Craig

Nice that you noticed the people in the hot air balloons. I had actually forgotten that I placed them in there...
September 10, 200619 yr I agree, the missions are great, and some of them are really hard. The missions add another fun and challenging aspect to FSX and in no way did FSX become more "game" like, which is what some people suspected was happening before the demo and beta were released. Can't wait to see what some add-on missions are like. :)And congratulations to P-12C from ACES, your missions are fantastic!

September 10, 200619 yr How many missions does it come with? Will there be additional missions for download from MS in future? Can us 3rd party freeware guys script missions, or is there some sort of editor to do so?Sounds like fun, wish it was already in FS9 and before...!
