As for the Vertx DA-62, until release it's an unknown quantity, although chances are it'll be very good and probably worth the wait. However, whether a DA-62 fits the OP's criteria is another matter, since they were asking about a turboprop, so one assumes a nice turn of speed is part of the requirements. As nice as the DA-42 and larger DA-62 aeroplanes are, they aren't anywhere near as fast as turboprop, although they are certainly interesting, in being powered by diesel engines. Agree. The Conquest 441 and the Duke are excellent sims. December 12, 20187 yr I'd say twin otter. Now that it works well, it's really nice for canada and that st barth slope! for 35€ you won't break the bank, plus it features decent textures and a nice model. It even comes with a - rather basic - gps that will let you fly around without having to look for where you're going. I've just about given up on it now, I only switched to P3Dv4 because they said the JS41 was coming to it "soon". Starting to investigate the Carenado Saab 340 as an alternative, especially now PMDG stripped out the GNS-XLS. Yeah... I wouldn't think it would take this long, since PMDG released the 737 and 777 for P3D v4 not very long after v4 was on the market... The J41 (P3D v4) is in beta right now, and as Nyxx said it is on hold. I think PMDG is working on the Global flight operations so ACARS is added on PMDG planes. I also heard PMDG was working on NG3 which is a newer version of the PMDG 737 NGX. (Maybe even 737 MAX!) Edited December 12, 20187 yr by arwasairl

Carenado is a swearing word in my head 😄 Graphics are nice, but that's about it 😛 Would love to fly a S340, but it's not going to be Carenado. I have actually tried the S340 from Carenado at my friend's house, would not recommend it unless you don't care about anything else besides nice graphics. Hopefully PMDG will eventually release their JS41 🙂 --- MSFS | DCS | X-plane 12

So happy I was able to purchase a copy while it was still available and I still fly it often. More recently I bought the MilViz (now Blackbird) KingAir 350i and PC-6. If you want contemporary aircraft with really good flight dynamics and turboprop modelling I recommend these two. I also fly in real life and although I have gone out and bought and tried a bunch of the other products mentioned in this thread, even with mods there comes a time where I get frustrated with them and lose interest.
