March 11, 20197 yr Some cool Xplane11 freeware, I love them both, the Falcon 20 has been rarely touched by our hobby Played a bit with rolling the F-15 as you will see. I was surprised the shot turned out especially because I did the roll from spot view, which is a tad harder ! John

Only time I was ever inverted in a real aircraft was when an ATP rolled a 182 when he asked a friend and I to go for a checkride after he had done some maint. He was a funny chap. We had taken off from Napa County airport, then flew over central Napa. Over the 1st St. and Highway 29 overpass, he simply said "Here we go" and did a very smooth and zero G roll, the 182 did not even grimace. But my friend in the right seat did, he was not a roller coaster nut like I am, and turned a shade of green I had never seen before in a person. The pilot put down in nearby Schellville, a wonderful small strip near the Sears Point NASCAR raceway, and my friend, a great trooper, recovered in the nice country fresh air. But we both got aside and agreed we'd not fly with the pilot again given the roll was not legal in a 182, we felt he was a bold pilot and might not become an old pilot. My friend and I resumed flying with the legendary William Garnett (RIP) the National Geographic aerial photographer and Life magazine aerial photographer and also writer of several wonderful books. We were told at the FBO by jealous pilots that we were the only souls they knew invited to fly with Mr. Garnett. Mr. Garnett allowed me to use his polished aluminum 170 for my own ventures into aerial photography, and my screenshot style here is based on his pics of aerial features like farmland, mudflats, and mountain scenery. He was the Ansel Adams of aerial photography.... Here is my Avsim tribute to a great friend, the man who first allowed me to fly a GA aircraft, his own precious 170 taildragger.... http://www.getty.edu/art/collection/artists/1545/william-a-garnett-american-1916-2006/
March 12, 20197 yr Great screenshots, John! Good looking freeware too! Can you alter the weapon loadout on the Eagle as well?
