That one about "you need to write that this is in-game footage because nobody will believe it is" was very hopeful indeed.

Sure, but at what system requirements?

If you see how P3D looks fully maxed out at 4k or 8K in one of the supper computers used my their developers, you would not believe it was P3D.

I would just dismiss the negativity of some and I sort of disagree with your first line there.

There is nothing "sad" about a simulator introducing very good new technology.

That's all positive to me.

You miss understood me, I meant it would be sad to see people disappointed even when it has introduced new technology.

Totally different of what you wrote..

Well - we do know they want to bring this to their new Xbox (and maybe even XB1 it sounds like), so there must be some scalability to it.

I would actually love to see some P3D video of amazing 4k/8k super computer P3D that I "won't believe is P3D".

Do you have a link?

1.  Microsoft "license fee" to sell content for their platform

Do you not believe they should charge a fee to use and distribute for their platform?

Or are you just worried about what the fee might be?

Again though, why have the attitude of "yeah but...sure, but...." to literally everything?

I could say the same to you, why blindly believe it would be super amazing without seeing any actual facts?

I don't have any attitude, I am expressing my opinion as user and developer based on my experience.

Unless there is some special version of p3d that the developers have, that requires a supercomputer, you can readily see what a max setting p3d looks like at 4k on youtube. It looks like p3d, but more of it.

Personally I don't care if there is a fee as long it is fair.

However we know MS flight wanted up to 70% of 3rd party developers income, which is absolutely absurd.

So if they repeat this policy, I cannot see many developers working with them under such circumstances, but I would be happy to fly the Diamond Aircraft and enjoy how the hangar open, etc. as per the video trailer.

The simple fact they are Using their Azure AI and their maps tech on the scenery makes it amazing to me.

Unless they limited this tech usage to 5 cities around the World, I'm really impressed and looking forward for more info on that matter.

About performance... They developed the OS (Windows 10), the API (Directx 12) and the software itself (MSFS. They have a huge advantage here, as everything would be more accessible to them.

And they have partnership with Nvidia and AMD, one thing noone is talking about is the lack of driver optimizations for our sims by Nvidia and AMD. When an AAA game is released, the day before Nvidia and AMD release a new driver. They will do the same for the new sim.

So what would be fair in your eyes?

They do have super PCs, they are a defense contractor 😉.

I asked Rob McCarty in vegas, this is not even close to what they have: https://www.forbes.com/sites/antonyleather/2017/01/27/the-incredible-gaming-pc-that-costs-30000/

This is something that they talked about in that eurogamer article. They can literally cross the “soccer field” to talk to the direct x engineers.

Its like Mercedes f1 and Mercedes high performance powertrains being down the road from each other, if you want a slightly obscure f1 analogy.

20% to 30%, is still high but happy to pay that in a platform that provides lots of exposure.

Exactly... And you can say that about a lot of the features of this new sim. (Almost) Everything "in-house".
