In all the videos they are using a home "real cockpit" connected to the flightsim. Can the 750 be installed and used just in the sim? Do you need to watch the Garmin videos to learn how to use the 750? Is the 750 compatible with Navigraph updates? Sorry but the videos do NOT help with purchasing.

The RXP simulator gauges are all built with the respective Garmin Trainers.  So if you find and watch videos about the actual real life trainers you will learn quite quickly.  First obvious step to take is to do a web search in your browser using something as simple as:

"youtube garmin gtn 750 videos"

You will find a wealth of related videos.

In regard to database updates, another simple web search "do garmin gps use navigraph" turns up valuable topics like this:

Wow I guess customer service  and sales is NOT your strong point. If you had read my post the flood of I videos dredged through was not helping me decide if I want to purchase this product. I also after searching this forum could not get a clear answer on weather Navigraph update could used.

SO after that condescending and insulting post product NOT purchased.

Do you need to watch the Garmin videos to learn how to use the 750?

Is the 750 compatible with Navigraph updates?

1) the genuine Reality XP GTN 750/650 Touch is a FltSim gauge.

As any other FltSim gauge it is used in the sim.
I'm not sure to understand the meaning of your question otherwise and you might want to elaborate.

2) you don't need to watch anything.

Like any other learning process, you might want to only if this is easier for you.

Many just read the user's manual (to get started in the sim) and the Garmin Pilot's Guide (to learn the device functions). To each his own but sure enough, this is just not learning how to flip a switch.

3) Please follow the link Frank has given above.

Again, I'm not sure I fully understand whether the meaning of your questions is genuinely candid so you might want to elaborate.

Yes

No, but as JL said, the real Garmin Pilot's Guide are a must

No. The GTN is driven by the real Garmin Trainer that we real Pilots use. Therefore you are tied to whatever database the Trainer uses which Garmin update from time to time. It is the same with the alternative GTN product.

That's your choice, but the forum here is full of extremely knowledgeable and helpful users such as Frank and Bert above. Jean Luc provides excellent customer support, including updates, so you may be jumping the gun with your reaction.

While your post mentioned such videos it provided no indication that you had watched any.  Had you mentioned that you had the response would have been somewhat different, but still a bit challenging.  A wealth of resources are available....

I wish you well.  RXP makes a fine product.  People in this thread are trying to help you!
