Then again, I remember a time when bugfixes were called patches and not "Service Packs".

If you had applied to alpha test, THEN you obviously wanted to be an alpha tester, and you should have known what it entails, and the product to be tested is NOT the final product.

You want to be paid for volunteering to test? 

Really? 

You should obviously wait another year or 2,and follow the forums until everyone is happy.
