Ray drinking Budweiser? I find that hard to believe. Ray comes from a part of England that's renound for its 'proper' ale - You know, the stuff you can stand a teaspoon up in. If he was forced to drink Bud it was only because there was nothing else on offer and Ray, being his typically polite self, didn't want to offend his hosts by refusing.;)

Why is FSX going 'Gold' such amazing news - other than being a major milestone for the dev team. We know it's being released next month, so what's the big deal...? I am expecting something different - no idea what....

HAHAHA, ATC progress from ACES and Microsoft? That was really funny!Anyway, the big news is that they are now at the RTM gold stage. So we're about 3 weeks out from retail release. Simflight broke this story yesterday, but avsim must report on their own schedule. There's a blurb still up on the main page over at the other site. If I recall, this is the 2nd time that simflight's had news up before avsim. Albeit this time, I think they did it without pissing Microsoft off :(

We all knew it would be out in October so its not exactly breaking news that they are at gold stage, nobody here can use that information for anything.

When I was in walmart in mid july, i went past the games and they had a announcement saying FSX would be out Oct. 3. Ive got pictures on my phone. Ha, yes. I couldnt believe it when I saw it. I was expecting it out in Late November or December.

Perhaps that FSX is going to be released for the XBOX 360

Maybe ACES will announce some new products? CFS, Train Sim or some other new product. These would merit some excitement. :)ACES are supposedly outlining their plans for working with the FS community which I will be following with great interest.We all know FS X will soon be gold... expected good news - but not what I would call an exciting revelation at this stage.
