Inibuilds dynamic lighting

I notice on some of them they require changing the max spot lights lines.  Assume this can mess with other airport DL?

No. It will just raise the maximum allowed number of lights. It can impact performance if you are already on edge, but it certainly will not interfere with anything.

Wow this looks great for older airports which haven’t been updated with DL’s!

Gonna have to add this one to my list!

And the FPS hit is minimal I presume?

It is a small performance hit with dynamic lights but inibuilds is the lightest dynamic light hit I see compared to scenery developers doing their own dynamic lights

These guts are amazing! They have also updated Split and it looks great in P3D v4.

I use this for all DD, T2G, PacSim and FSDT scenery. I created a folder and dumped all the FSDT inibuild DL files into it. Makes it easier to reinstall them because every time you run live update it overwrites them.

Before applying these DL sets first check if the airport not already has DL. Several developers have added DL in their latest updates.

E.g. FlyTampa Amsterdam’s latest version has it already..

Maybe a basic question😁  but when dynamic lighting is added what does it exactly mean? Lamp glows texture on the ground is replaced...? Casting of light on the surface is enabled? Or both?

Thanks

Without dynamic lighting, all lighting is baked in to textures which makes it look like it's receiving light. You can see it when you are in an airport without dynamic lighting. Ground looks like it's lit, but you aircraft and all airport traffic is unlit and whole scene looks very odd. Dynamic lighting actually projects light from the source (lamps in this case) and lights up the environment and all sim objects properly.

I never fly to airports without dynamic lighting anymore. Not having it is a complete immersion killer for me.
