December 9, 20196 yr Hi All, Occasionally I find that my main monitor fades out to black after 30 minutes of flying and nothing can be done to get the VCockpit view back. The sound is still going, Little navmap shows the planes progress but nothing can be done. , I have 3 Monitors with the main one being a 40" 4K Philips Monitor with the other two being used for Little NavMap/ KAcars, Active Sky, ProjectFLY etc. The plane I used is the Vertx DA62. Here my computer details. It does not happen often but it sure is annoying. My settings are pretty much to the right in most cases. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. December 10, 20196 yr Its called Hypoxia. Once your 10,000 feet ASL you should have your oxygen supplemented. Symptoms are initially euphoria and then blackout. Hence the screen fading to black. They haven't figured out a way of simulating the euphoria so as part of my training scenario to simulate Hypoxia I take drugs. 😁

In case of the Vertx DA62 it's definitely hypoxia. You need supplemental oxygen to avoid it. Edited December 10, 20196 yr by FDEdev

December 12, 20196 yr Author The community was right. Paying attention to oxygen appears to have done the trick. Just to make certain, I also followed ZKOKQ's suggestion. "Options/General un tick Visualize G-effects and Viz Momentum effects and all will be good" I would like to know what those two items are used for. Thank you all. G-effect will make you black out if you are applying a too high g-load and momentum effects is the head movement due to acceleration changes. Both increase realism/immersion and they don't cause any problems. Edited December 12, 20196 yr by FDEdev
