December 17, 20196 yr Commercial Member So after 5 years, my PC died today so it is time to start planing to build a new one. I was able to salvage my 1080 TI. December 17, 20196 yr Eh? What a question to ask! You asked for an opinion in your OP. I complimented you on putting together a good system from that partpicker link, and you ask ' Are you being serious'. Seriously? Rick Almeida
December 17, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member Relax, I didn't know if you were being sarcastic. Thanks for the compliment. Note: The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled. Should be fine Note: Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders. Not sure about this... December 17, 20196 yr I must also say "Are you serious?"😏 Great looking specs! If I can nitpick, the power supply should probably be amped-up a little? Good luck!
December 18, 20196 yr That Sabrent PCIe NVMe drive is Gen 4... the motherboard you spec'd has only Gen 3 2280 ports. The Gen 4 drive would be wasted. I recently bought Sabrent's Gen 3 1 TB drive and like it a lot (although I'm using it as a fast storage drive, not the OS/apps drive). Price was great, too: Info here Yikes, that is a popular drive!! I bought mine 3 months ago and there was less than 500 reviews at that time! So popular Sabrent raised the price $10 since I bought mine. Still a great deal! Good luck on your build! Greg

Maybe I get the previous gen Sabrent and save money as well. December 18, 20196 yr Check if the KF version of the i9-9900 is cheaper. You don't need an in-built graphics card.
