January 31, 20206 yr I was watching, at breakfast, a video called « Winter Flying » on the YouTube Backcountry182 channel of a Costa Rican guy flying his Skylane in the PNW, prepping the aircrat, landing on sandbars etc. Summed up what I expect from FS20 : the importance of the air parameters on the flight (temp, density), the beauty of winter and of a very sharp mesh, the feedback of the micro-relief below when flying low (including trees, hedges etc.). <sigh> Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

January 31, 20206 yr FS 20 is actually Farm Simulation 2020 also known as FS20 I doubt if there is any flying within that game. I'm sure you mean MSFS. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...

January 31, 20206 yr As long as everybody knows what it's about (not too hard given the forum we're currently in), it doesn't matter in the slightest if we call it MSFS, FS20, MSFSXX, FSMMXX or "that new sim for whose alpha I didn't apply". Edited January 31, 20206 yr by Airboeing
January 31, 20206 yr Author @Airboeing @tweekz Please guys, I initiated this thread on the joy of bush flying and what to expect from FS20, not about some senile and repetitive ramblings about how to call FS20 . Lets stay on topic. I would even be fine with doing it in summer. 😉

I was interested by what he says about the cold air and how it makes flying easier to do stunts like landing on short sand bars Edited January 31, 20206 yr by domkle Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

I have just experienced a few sessions with the A2A Cub in Orbx Southern Alaska in P3D V4. The aircraft is fabulous. The scenery is the best available for that region. But to fly low and slow over in most parts plain old landclass and vector scenery is hardly immersive. I never really liked landclass scenery and always tried to get orthoimagery whereever it is available. But now after having an idea of how it will look like in MSFS it is hardly enjoyable any more at all for me - no matter how immersive the aircraft is. Edited January 31, 20206 yr by RALF9636
January 31, 20206 yr Yes, yes, dead horse. But if you loved flying Alaska using a Cub in P3D, it was outstanding using the Carbon Cub in Flight.
