February 1, 20206 yr Hi all- I've been running around in the Dash 8 for a couple of months, completely ignoring my favorite aircraft, the Lear. Shame on me. So, feeling guilty I went ahead and downloaded the latest version, along with the most recent version of reality XP. All that went fine as usual. Everything run as admin. After the initial install, I loaded the Lear in a default setting, closed sim. Went into the management console and added the GTN (1) and closed. Loaded the Lear into the default scenario and I see the new bezel in the panel but no power. Also RXP is not available in the drop down Addon menu. So, it looks like it sorta installed as the bezel changed, but that's about it. This is probably something simple, but, I'm open to some direction :>) Thanks, Mark
February 1, 20206 yr Hi Mark I use Flight1‘s GTN750 with the Learjet (both latest versions) and it works fine. Do you have the latest versions installed? February 2, 20206 yr Author Same behavior with the Falcon. I posted over at the RXP forum to hopefully get this resolved.

Along with other possible add-ons, you should have a Reality XP GTN folder located at C:\Users\your-name\Documents\Prepar3D v4 (assuming a typical P3D install). And, after installing a single RXP GTN 750 here is what I have in my panel.cfg file, which is in the Lear's panel folder. At the top of the file: [Window Titles] Window00=CONTROL_PANEL Window01=AIRCRAFT_OPTIONSWindow02=Reality XP GTN Unit 1 (managed) Window03=START_INSTRUCTIONS Window04=DOOR_INSTRUCTIONS Window05=PAYLOAD_MANAGER Window06=WX Advantage Radar and further down in the panel.cfg file a [Window 02] that looks like this: [Window02] size_mm=100,100 window_pos= 0.000000,0.101010 window_size= 0.487662,0.797980 visible=1 always_visible=0 zorder=99 background_color=0,0,0 ident=15751gauge00=rxpGTN!GTN_750_1, 0, 0,100,100gauge01=CONTROL_PANEL!clipboard GTN750 REALITYXP 1, 0,39,14,55 and down in [Vcockpit01], the last line is gauge13=FLYSIMWARE_CONSOLE!Navigation_REALITY750_1, 0,0,2,2 and finally, way down in the panel.cfg file I have [VCockpit37] size_mm=1024,1024 pixel_size=1024,1024 visible=1 texture=$GTN750RXPbackground_color=0,0,0gauge00=rxpGTN!GTN_750_1, 0,0,677,794 gauge01=rxpGTN!f1vc,0,0,1,1 Al Edited February 2, 20206 yr by ark
February 2, 20206 yr Author Hi Al- Every line is identical, except [37}. I don't have the additional 'gauge0'1 that you have. Mine looks like this... [VCockpit37] size_mm=1024,1024 pixel_size=1024,1024 visible=1 texture=$GTN750RXP background_color=0,0,0 gauge00=rxpGTN!GTN_750_1, 0,0,677,794 This is really weird and is pointing to an RXP issue in that what's the likelihood of this not installing correctly in both aircraft. Here's what I'm going to do. i also own the Flight1 GTN and am going to remove RXP and install the Flight1 and see what happens. PS. Could this be a Management Console issue not allowing a full install of RXP?

Seems to me if there was an inherent problem on either the RXP side or the FSW side 'we' would of heard about it quite a bit at this point. I think I have convinced myself the missing gauge01=rxpGTN!f1vc,0,0,1,1 line is no longer needed with the new GPS management tool. I just tried commenting it out and the Lear and Falcon RXP GTNs loaded OK. I'm now wondering if your problem is related to the Garmin Trainer that the GTN uses. The latest RXP GTN ver 2.5.22 uses an updated Garmin Trainer, I show ver 6.62. Do you have this trainer version? EDIT: The latest Flight1 GTN750 is ver 2.13 and also uses Garmin Trainer ver 6.62. February 3, 20206 yr Author Downloaded latest trainer and installed, same behavior. Downloaded Flight1 version and installed, works fine. This is an RXP problem, or so it seems. Thanks much for the help, Mark

If you haven't done so, you could try uninstalling the RXP before reinstalling it. Since the Flight1 GTN works it would seem the Garmin Trainer is OK and Avionics is turned on in the Lear35. I would also make sure no saved flights are interfering somehow. All and all very strange since the RXP is working for me, and I'm not aware of anyone else reporting this problem. I would like to hear from other Lear35 - RXP GTN users who have installed the latest RXP GTN 750. Al

February 3, 20206 yr One comment I would make is when downloading and installing the RXP make sure any firewall and virus scanning is OFF, then I would start from scratch with the RXP GTN. Uninstall, delete RXP directory\s. Reconfigure the Lear panel with default FSW GPS. Install the latest RXP GTN, configure the Lear panel using the FSW configurator, fire up P3D, load the lear, close P3D. Start P3D again, load the lear and see what you get. February 3, 20206 yr Author OK- I scraped every inch of my PC after uninstalling RXP using this, this and this, my favorites. Did a complete, new download of RXP via Flight1 wrapper, installed. Selected RXP via managemet console, no gauge. Reselected Flight1 GTN, good to go. Somethings up with that RXP thing. I've posted over there but will not be surprised if they refer me back right here. Nice job Kansas City tonight. I live in the SF Bay Area so it was a bit hard, but well deserved. Cheers, Mark

I tend to agree with you wrt to what RXP will say. I'll talk to Mark at FSW and see if he has any ideas. At this point if it were me, just as a shot in the dark, I think I'd uninstall the P3D v4 Client and then reinstall it. My experience is it doesn't hurt anything to reinstall the client. If you have another sim, like FSX, you could try installing the RXP into the Lear in that sim to see what happens. Al
