The thunder clouds look like volcanic ash/smoke. They dont seem to have a defined shape and they always have this weird out of focus effect. right that is what I noticed too in the episodes.

By judge on episodes clouds I guess a high end computer was used, again sometimes look good but sometimes it doesn't. Edited February 27, 20206 yr by mp15

This is the future, that is the past and not something we'll deal with anymore. I can create noise based clouds that look 10 times better than the alpha and even pre rendered.

February 27, 20206 yr Unigine got this implemented a couple of years ago but their engine is licensed for professional simulation and thus the hardware could be in a different league to render such real time clouds: ________________________________LEBOR SIMULATIONSScenery for Flight Simulators since 1998

While we wait for that, you can put a video on youtube. Of course your better clouds have to run in the same environment, otherwise it is possible. As i said (and you might have missed it), it's a matter of quality AND performance. Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

February 27, 20206 yr MSFS noise based clouds are the best looking/feeling that could happen to a home personal entertainment PC flight simulator with a complex world that looks like the world of MSFS and has a fair performance... Tech demo noise clouds could look better as stand alone tech demo clouds... ________________________________LEBOR SIMULATIONSScenery for Flight Simulators since 1998
