March 10, 20206 yr RDR2 has pretty much the best of everything. If Asobo can match that, MSFS will be a giant hit. As to the MSFS partcle-based clouds, they look great. Whether Asobo can sync cloud types to weather conditions (temperature, wind speed, humidity etc..) remains to be seen.
March 13, 20206 yr The last batch of photos, the clouds looked good. But in this photo the clouds seem blotchy. Do these look realistic to you? Maybe this is a issue with live weather. My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night. He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler. He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant. As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine. Stay safe out there. (Updated 4/6)

If I had to be critical of something I’d say the dark is a little too dark...but blotchy no...not sure what you mean. Edited March 15, 20206 yr by n4gix Removed quoted video. But the clouds just look like blotches all over the place randomly. If there is wind, I would expect the wind to hit the mountains and create high and low pressure zones around there, so clouds off one side, or more on one side. If there is no wind, I would expect a more even placement of clouds, and the clouds to be more uniform. Yes, the dark in front seems too dark. My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. March 13, 20206 yr I used to live in the Rockies, literally at the top of one of the peaks. Yeah, you get days where there are clouds on one side and none on the other. Sometimes you're standing in your yard looking down at the valley and this giant white cloud bank comes racing up the mountain. You think it's gonna hit you but once it gets to the flat part you're standing on it shoots over your head. Very cool stuff. But other days look pretty much like the pic. Most of the clouds in that pic are so high relative to the mountain that there isn't gonna be any difference from one side to the other. There is one cloud just to the right of the tallest peak that might be the kind of cloud you're talking about -- it's sometimes hard to tell how far away a cloud is since there aren't any known-size objects you can use for a sense of scale to gauge distances.
