April 10, 20206 yr The TQ3 looks perfect to replace my throttle one day. Exactly what I want. But for such a simple concept, it's tough to justify that kind of money. Other components or controls I get. But the throttle not so much. Especially when a large chunk of my flying the throttle is remaining in a stationary position. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
April 10, 20206 yr I should have been more specific, i have the TQ6+. I justified the price under the assumption it will last a very long time and keep me from buying multiple other throttles. I also have the warthog hotas throttle which I mainly use for DCS but I previously used it in P3D before I bought the TQ6+. It is also a top notch piece of gear. April 10, 20206 yr Does the TQ have a hidden button like the saitek? Hard to explain. But the one that I use for reverse thrust. Then I also use it on another lever to arm the spoilers. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

April 10, 20206 yr Moderator I spoke to the developers of the TQ6+ at the Lelystad flight sim show 17 months ago about a 6 lever throttle quadrant that could be used with 4 engine jet aircraft. They weren’t interested. Odd because there’s a market to be tapped for those who want something better than Saitek units and those costing close to a grand. Maybe one day someone will take advantage and give us something so many appear to want. Ray (Cheshire, England). Then I also use it on another lever to arm the spoilers. It doesn’t unfortunately, I keep my warthog throttle on the desk and use a button on there (I use it as the toga button). One thing I’d note regarding thrust reverse is that on the TQ6+ the entire lever range is one axis with an idle detent, so using FSUIPC you can program the axis below the detent to be reverse thrust. This gives you analog control of reverse thrust as opposed to the reverse range triggering a button push like it does on my Warthog throttles. I’ve been able to get this working on every aircraft i own other than the Aerosoft A330. I quite enjoy the full reverse control this provides. April 10, 20206 yr Hi Erich, I also have a TQ6+ and of course its very solid. For non GA aircrafts jets/fighters etc I use the Virpil Mongoos T-50 and I have been extremely satisfied. Hall sensors and excellent metal construction. Plastic handles of very high quality. The version they sell now is the CM2 version.
