May 2, 20206 yr Just keep asking your questions in this thread as Bob has suggested. May 2, 20206 yr Author Well, first of all, do you know what happened to www.fsx-downloads.com, why and when, whether it will ever return and whether all of its products are currently available elsewhere? Thank you so much for your help.
May 2, 20206 yr Administrators Well, Conner, unless that site's owner is a member here and will respond to this question, You will never find out why and when it closed. We can only speculate (guess). Most of the products are probably on other sites. Is there a specific product you are looking for? You can also add questions about other sites in this topic without having to create new topics. You can always try the WayBack machine (internet archives). https://archive.org/details/oldiesradio104_yahoo_FSX Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. May 2, 20206 yr Author Well, first of all, do you think that site's member is here on Avsim? Secondly, do you think some of the products are currently not available anywhere? Lastly, I probably just want all of that sites products, you know that?
May 2, 20206 yr Administrators Firstly...I doubt that he is a member. I would say all the products they had are probably available somewhere. So you plan on downloading and using all of their products? With what flightsim, if I may be so bold? May 2, 20206 yr Author I am considering download those add-ons for my Microsoft Flight Simulator X sometime. But I forgot to tell you that I wrote an email to Fly Away Simulation and fsdownload.net and they did not respond to it.
May 2, 20206 yr I suggest you avail yourself of Google. It will answer your questions? Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
May 3, 20206 yr Have you tried using google to find specific downloads? This would assume that you already know which individual plane or scenery that you want: What I mean by that is say that fsx-downloads had an F-104 Starfighter available for FSX, have you tried to search for that Starfighter? This was just an example, I don't know if that exists. Sorry if you already do this, but I tend to ignore actual sties and just search for a specific download.: Say for instance that I've decided to fly to a new airport which I don't have in FSX. I just google FSX and the specific airport to see what comes up. I don't care who is hosting that download, AVSIM, simviation, flightsim.com. May 3, 20206 yr Author Well, I found links to each aircraft on www.fsx-downloads.net which still does not work.
May 3, 20206 yr “fsx-downloads.com” is registered to a company in Cheyenne, Wyoming called 4OfficeAutomation Inc. According to Zoominfo, they are engaged in providing email services. It doesn’t sound like anything related to flight simulation. Loading that address into a web browser brings up an empty page with a 404 error. The server is online, but is has no content. That web address expires on June 17th of this year. It could be that the company that now owns that domain has nothing to do with the company that used to provide flight sim aircraft. They may have bought the domain name, and are just holding it for use in some other endeavor. the domain “fsx-downloads.net” does not exist, and according to the wayback machine, there has never been a web site with that name. “fsdownload.net” appears to be a current valid site with FSX downloads. They are located in Brazil and the site operators may not speak English, so unless you send an email in Portuguese, they may not respond. May 3, 20206 yr Author Oh! I actually meant to say that I found links to each aircraft on www.fsx-downloads.com which still does not work, you know that?
