Ted I think it’s still a very long way from being ready Ted. FSL can either see it as a challenge to get theirs out first or decide to draw a line under development and cease. Which way they’ll go is pure guesswork. Ray (Cheshire, England). May 9, 20206 yr 13 hours ago, Chock said: given that their recently-released Douglas DC-3/C-47 add-on can't even manage to get the start up sequence of the P&W and Wright radials to work consistently and is in dire need of a patch to sort that out, I can report that sorting has happened and a patch is on the way. I'm not sure if I was the only test case, but I was one of them. My issue that was that I was able to start the C-47 but not the DC-3. I went through several rounds with their help desk - the initial steps weren't smooth, but things got better once Barry got involved. The result was a patch to correct a couple of inconsistent parameters between the C-47 and DC-3. My DC-3s, both Pratt and Wright, are now starting consistently, and they tell me the fix will be included in the next update. I agree it would have been better to smooth this out before release, but at least they found their way through it. I'm just beginning to get the feel for the product now - for the past couple of weeks, all I've been doing was startup routines. According to a post on Sim Outhouse, the Concorde is being developed by DC Designs, so maybe that'll be a different experience. Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
May 9, 20206 yr I hadn't heard of this company earlier. I must say I like some of the civilian projects they are working on. I only hope that they will be sufficiently accurate to have me interested. The risk is that if one company makes a model that's only 75% accurate, another company that would be interested in creating a 99% one might back off since our market is not big enough for two models of the same airplane. May 9, 20206 yr Well, whoever does it I hope they get advice from people who really know the aircraft, not just people who think they do. I also hope they have final editions of the Flying Manual Volumes 1, 2a, 2b; Performance Manual, Cruise Control Manual, Load & Balance Manual, Navigation Manual, Section 6 Circuit Breaker Listing, Flight Engineer Supplementary Manual, Conversion course lecture notes, Ground Engineer Training Notes, Maintenance Manual and maybe even the wiring diagrams. Without that information it will be merely a toy!

May 9, 20206 yr Correction - the Aeroplane Heaven Concorde is not the DC Designs Concorde. May 9, 20206 yr A little competition could be a good thing when it comes to quality... That's what Concorde could have done with in real life too.
May 10, 20206 yr Author Moderator I received this reply from Aeroplane Heaven overnight in response to my question as to whether their version of Concorde would be close to reference level (i.e. FS Labs)... "I think this concorde will not be for you then. In the case of the concorde It will be a case of what the stock code can achieve will be what the concorde will have. We’ll try to bring in partners in some areas ( the nav being one ) but in general no you wont find FS labs systems ( or price ). We dont frequent the avsim forum We no longer give out completion dates/ timelines. We also dont believe in charging for product that isn’t finished. It puts too much of a burden on us as developers and asks too much from you as a customer. I dont think you are our target market at all and I would advise you to not purchase this product upon it’s completion. Thank you all the same for the interest. The Aeroplaneheaven Team" That would appear to end my interest in this product. For others it may be fine. It doesn't sound as though it will be offered for a reduced price whilst still in development. Pity really but given the complexity of modelling the aircraft perhaps not unexpected.
