May 16, 20206 yr So beta testers are cheating and don't use the default install no wonder so many users are complaining about problems 🤫. Raymond Fry.

May 16, 20206 yr My take comes from some time ago from one of the biggest scenery and airport developers in flight sim should your base scenery folder become corrupted then elevation issues could be the result. With developers using more accurate data a runway or airport could be + or - base elevation , and when it installs it reads the base file then adjust accordingly. Making a faulty elevation issue solvable by a full re-install. Raymond Fry.

May 16, 20206 yr Let's not start any stupid arguments here. Beta testing is not a paid job for me. I have contributed a lot of time and effort beta testing over the years, and I would prefer not to have to defend myself simply because someone else does not agree with the way I do it. Developers use multiple beta testers for a reason, and that's because everyone has a different setup and combination of addons. Most of those beta testers will not delete those files, so I see no point in even worrying about it.......unless you want to cause trouble for the sake of it. I mainly fly in Gatwick airport so I wanted to buy scenery of it. I downloaded the demo version of UK2000's Gatwick scenery, All looks well But I have noticed that some of the default building of the airport are still then. http://prnt.sc/shh9oa You can see there is a building under the Gatwick air bridge. Cheers Yuval. This thread is very confusing on multiple levels! I have uk2000 gatwick. I have p3d v5. They work fine together. Just install uk2000 gatwick. No other action is needed. May 18, 20206 yr To the original OP, as I said earlier in the tread, if you have demo version of UK2000 Gatwick it is not compatible with V5, you would have to buy the full version. May 19, 20206 yr Ok all the correct way to remove stock airports . Use ADE you will need the SDK installed. Load in the stock airport remove all buildings save as a new BGL place above stock scenary and below UK2000. Takes a bit of practice . Second option moan at the developer as he should be doing this for you. Stock airports have moved hence the problem old exclusion files no longer work, If you are not confident don't try ADE you may well muck things up . I am not a developer but taught myself a couple of sundays ago so I could use Dublin airport. Edited May 19, 20206 yr by cannow Colin hodds I7 9700K,nvidia 3090 ,ssd ,32gig 3200mhz ram ,win10,prep3d

Necroing a topic a year later is weird any time, but from memory this was a pretty off-track thread in the first place - see my comment above, which I think still stands.
