Is MSFS 2020 A Game Or A Simulator?

Featured Replies

Just thought I'd ask because the Icon will be included as it was in MS Flight.

It's neither, in a radical change of direction from Asobo and MS, it is going to be an interactive pop up book novel.

That's weird. I heard it was going to be released straight to VHS initially.

Sorry if I'm wrong.

It's a simulation of a game, where the premise is about having fun by using flight simulators.

Keep the blue part on top...

For the gearheads: Ryzen 9800x3D | ASUS Rog Strix B650E-F | MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X | 64GB DDR5 6000Mhz RAM | NZXT Kraken x72 Cooler | EVGA 1000 PSU

To be honest, it doesn't matter what it is, you know what flight simmers are like; it'll take approximately a week for everyone to go from 'OMG it's the best thing since sliced bread', to 'this sucks, we're paying for a beta'. 🤣

It's a Game-ulator, or maybe it's a Simu-lame. Be sure to use for entertainment only.

Are you saying VHS is dead and we have to go back Betamax?

Which, to be fair; was better quality - just more expensive to mass-produce.

Rubbish, LaserDisk. If you know...you know.

Chris

The best thing about laserDisk was how they flew through the air late at night at a party whilst you tried to explain the differences between constant chord wing types and muttering phrases about Hershey Bars.

Sorry, that is all I have.

And when we hear that MS has signed an exclusivity deal with developer A and B for 1 year, then OMG, like OMG.🥵

"Is MSFS 2020 A Game Or A Simulator?"

It's both a game and a simulator depending on how you use it. Just like all the other flight sims. It's coming out at the right time as I fear I might be getting to old to use the other sim for "simulated training" 😉

I suggest Microsoft Flying Gamulator 2020

...maybe it will evolve into a simulator at some distant point in the future?

Cheers, Rob.

Maybe when P3D stops CTD's and VRAM OOMing, it might be one too!

🎆 Party time!!!
