Do they design the sim in such a way that you don't any more payware except airplanes and airports and subsequently kill a lot of companies future revenue streams? Or do you developed the sim in a way where it's darn good but you leave just enough out that it provides opportunities for current payware developers to take advantage of new revenue streams? They've built MSFS with every intention to let the community aspect of it flourish. So it's definitely the latter. Just to give you a perspective, they mentioned they were working with over 400 addon developers since the past year to release third-party content for the sim. They're using the exact same SDK that the development team themselves are using. Over 200 have already signed up to to be a part of the MSFS Marketplace, and many of them already have content for release day.
August 3, 20205 yr One must also take account of the testing programme will continue after launch and the SDK is still work in progress, a third party Dev runs the risk of an addon being broken by an update something we are familiar with. Raymond Fry.

I don't think we should need something like FSUIPC for this kinda feature.. in native X-plane, you can assign a control mapping profile for each aircraft and also a camera profile for each aircraft.. that's basically some essential parts of FSUIPC and Chaseplane built into native sim.. so MSFS being more modern, it should have it as part of the sim itself.. John Dowson reported about two weeks ago that they have been in contact with the MSFS team and 3rd party developers, and that at that point they had at least an alpha version of FSUIPC7 for the new sim. This is good news, especially for home cockpit builders and others who want to tailor how they interface with the sim to meet their particular needs. Al Really? Well then I stand corrected. I didn't think there would be one, at least not for a while. Thanks for the information.

FSUIPC's capability to run Lua scripts is very useful and powerful, and you may want a particular key or button to run different scripts, or a different version of the same script, for different aircraft. August 3, 20205 yr How are people handling launching the sim into a state that does not agree with current control settings? Large, full-motion flight sims will pause the sim until you put all switches etc. into the right state for the loaded scenario. Are there any plans for such functionality, or this is up to us to implement (through FSUIPC for example)?
