It's not about putting him on ignore, I want an apology. I was attacked and it was uncalled for. I literally came here out of the woodwork, to share good feedback on this simulator reaching the more casual market, and now I'm not really inclined to stick around.

Well. I shall call it MSFS_XXXX, as it is clearly seen in my hard drive:  H:\MSFS_XXXX (I keep the beta there). 😎

OK, I tender my apology for suggesting that you will be more credible by using correct terminology. FlyInACessna has said that it was a simple mistake & I should have just said that the correct acronym is MSFS. My 'attack' was uncalled for. I apologize again, & I regard this dialog as a learning curve for both of us.

Not sure what I was supposed to learn from this, other than there's some anal-retentiveness around here, but I guess that's as good as I'll get for an apology, so thanks. I look forward to continuing to use whatever terminology I please. Everyone here knows what simulator we're talking about.

It's just that, as you had said that you had literally came here out of the woodwork, it seemed like that you were unaware of the correct name to use, I stand corrected.

Welcome to the site by the way. I hope you stick around, but if you don't, you wont be the first to run away. It helps to keep in mind your own needs from the hobby, and never (ever!) let anyone tell you you have to conform to their standards, whatever those are.

The game is called "Microsoft Flight Simulator", not MSFS. There's a subform called "Virtual Reality (VR) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020".  Have you chastised the moderators about that? This thread title says "MSF2020", not MSFS. Did you chastise the OP of this thread for calling it MSF2020?

I didn't realize there's only one correct name, and that you're apparently the guardian of said name.

This forum is also called Microsoft Flight Simulator, I take it that the moderators are using the correct name 

Mathijs Kok from Aerosoft, who distribute the DVD set has said..let me explain what the boxed version actually contains. Microsoft Flight SImulator (that's the name, not FS2020) contains four major parts (Note the sizes are estimates from what we know at this moment.)

He should know? Anyway! Also, back to the woodwork ..

FS2020 is correct terminology and I see it far more often than just "MSFS". FS2020 isn't going anywhere, and that makes me happy.
