will real Airlines paint schemes be available for MSFS 2020?

After watching videos of MSFS 2020 airports I noticed that the default airliners are generic and not Airline specific.

They have said that they've contacted various airlines for permission to use their liveries. They have not heard back yet as the major airlines are busy trying to figure out how they're going to survive the downturn in business cause by the pandemic. I would imagine it will happen eventually.

Not yet, maybe later. But who will give us those liveries, that´s the question.

Expect it to be payware, either as a DLC from MS/Asobo, or from a TPD. In these turbulent times, you can't blame the airlines for wanting to earn a few quid for the privilege.

We went through this before in the 90's I believe where the airlines would not give permission for their likenesses to be used. We'll see how this shakes out.

They will be generic upon release.

Will just have to wait and see how it pans out for actual liveries. We won't need a traffic program like we do for the other sims so i think it will be more of a one click install for swapping all the paints. Perfect opportunity for a DLC sale assuming they can get the rights.

Risky to invest in liveries at this time. Half the airlines may be gone before we're back to routine air travel.

This is usually something reserved for payware as an add-on (Flight1's Ultimate Traffic for example) as MS just gives us the foundation and that's it.  Flight Simulator is a living product.  It's going to happen sooner than later as it's very important to the sim.
