August 12, 20205 yr Author Alright, I just noticed I can't edit my original post any longer, maybe some nice mod can just remove the information about current weather from that, because it is outdated by now. 😊 Update on TROPICAL DEPRESSION 11 in the Atlantic It now looks like this system will further strengthen into a tropical storm, so we might experience Tropical Storm "Josephine" in the Caribbean just around the time the sim releases next week.

Just gotta get the elevator and rudder trim set right. I don't think I've ever been more than 30 degrees off my intended course after returning. 😄 Most of the time it's still right on. Now I won't be able to get the P key out of my mind... Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
August 13, 20205 yr Awesome thanks for this I always loved chasing bad weather to fly in/around. Can't wait to see how decent storm cells are depicted! Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.
August 14, 20205 yr Author Another update for Tropical Storm Josephine: It now looks like it will dissipate early next week and not make landfall in the Caribbean. So no crazy hurricane flying on release day. 😊 This has already been the tenth named storm in the 2020 hurricane season, which is a lot for mid-August. The coming weeks will probably have some very interesting weather in the region.

August 14, 20205 yr I wonder if you’ll actually be able to see the eye of a hurricane/if it will be that well modeled.
August 17, 20205 yr Author WEATHER UPDATE FOR RELEASE DAY Alright, this is it. It looks like the weather engine gods have given us the chance to see our first real Hurricane when the sim releases! 😎 Tropical Storm Genevieve Genevieve in the eastern Pacific, off the Mexican coast, is forecasted to become a Hurricane on Monday and it will likely further strengthen up to Wednesday. So get your TBMs ready and pick a nice airport on the Mexican east coast. MMSD, that is Los Cabos International, seems like a good spot right at the tip of the Baja California peninsula. Outlook for the Atlantic and Caribbean NHC is currently tracking a number of tropical disturbances that could form into tropical cyclones over the next few days. August 18, 20205 yr Author Alright, here we go, checking out Hurricane Genevieve with the Citation Longitude. Weather radar is going all pink already. 😎
August 19, 20205 yr Author A more detailed report of my trip into the Hurricane can now be found in the screenshots forum:
August 21, 20205 yr Author Oh yeah, about those two tropical depressions I mentioned on Monday. They are now forecasted to make landfall on the Gulf Coast and the Florida Panhandle almost simultaneously early next week, possibly at Hurricane strength. 😬 Throughout the weekend, we could have some interesting flying in the Caribbean and a chance to check out if the bugs with wind and live weather in the sim are getting fixed.
