I only played them off and on for a few decades before moving on. 🙂 My fondest memory was playing Quake 2 against my 15 year old son in multiplayer. I started off explaining to him about cooperative play when he turned, shot me twice and ran away laughing. It went downhill from there. Later I had to explain to my wife that the vile epithets we were hurling against each other were actually terms of endearment. And I loved watching him play Grand Theft Auto. He was funny as anything. I enjoyed playing it myself. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

They did, at least 16,000 times. 😄 We used the same storefront that will be used by the Great Masses on launch day. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! August 12, 20205 yr Ok, cool! I also heard that Vincent got his problem sorted out just now, so hopefully things will be ready. However, it is a bit worrying that MS support kinda collapsed according to Vincents experience. They got it right in the end, but that was because of the right person was there at the right time. That won't do if something goes astray on launch. Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78

They created new characters nearly daily/hourly, whereas I was a powerful mage that had played for years..... Some little ragamuffin would rush up to me at odd intervals and yell "give me money!!" then while I was getting ready to blast them they would go "its me!!" and I would cough up bucks, or accompany them as heavy artillery over-watch on their quests...... Fun times..... Come to think of it, few things I have done simming have ever been so satisfying. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. Does anyone here frequent the Minecraft communities? If so, what are they saying about MSFS? Hook You're right about that. I even get bored with the sim sometimes and take a break from it for a week or so. I also like first person shooter games and more complex games like Half-life and The Elder Scrolls franchise. The question is: does that also work the other way, i.e. do casual gamers also like flight simulation, and do they regularly use the simulator and like it enough that they'll spend hundreds of dollars a year buying addons like a lot of us do? My point is that flight simulators haven't historically appealed to the masses like Grand Theft Auto or Fortnite, and there are a relatively small number of hardcore flightsimmers in the world compared to typical gamers(which is actually most people nowadays as almost everyone plays video games). Hopefully the new sim will bring a lot of new folks into the hobby. August 12, 20205 yr @dave2013 I guess a big part of that is because flightsim perpherals are expensive or at least take up some desk space. With the xbox controller that probably many have already it could be much easier to pickup and enjoy msfs. Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78

Sailing a boat is boring, but lots of people play sailing sims. "Watching grass grow" is boring, but farming simulators are popular. I think people who are down on gamers have no idea what the gamers actually do. First person shooters aren't the only things they play. Hook What's missing in flight sims but exists in truck sims is the mission and sense of accomplishment for many people. In a truck sim you have to deliver cargo. In a flight sim there's no talk about keeping up with a schedule to transport people or cargo. Not without an add-on at least. August 12, 20205 yr I've found The Division 2 to be mildly entertaining with it's 3rd person style. ArmA 3 was fun for awhile for a military sim. And I hope CyberPunk is good. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub
