October 25, 200619 yr I'm a little surprised that the add-on stuff is far behind of the introduction of FSX...Especially the updatesMany sudden delays or reworks...I had the hoop that with the add-on developers being in the beta process and with the SDK we should have by now updates...Is it due to last moment changes made by ACES in the program?Unprofessional approach by the add-on developers...No resources to start a new or update project (because for many still not a full time job)...Other reasons.Because all ingredients are there to be on time lolJust curious? as a IT professional (daily job) involved in software development.Andr André
October 25, 200619 yr Maybe they're all still trying to get FSX to run properly before working on updates. It's also very early.
October 25, 200619 yr FSX is still not released in many countries - countries where developers come from. :)Allcott
October 25, 200619 yr If we follow the FS2004 timeline, it will be February before the first solid workable updates are available (approx 4 1/2 months after release). And in June next year (9 months after release), they will all have to be replaced because the SDK's would be released 6-8 months after the new version. This time, they were released with FSX.Personally I'm amazed that things are progressing so quickly with this version as compared to previous new versions. While many developers had the beta to work with - no smart developer is going to prepare a final version of their product / update based on a beta. They need the actually release version in their hands.

October 25, 200619 yr Although I hate waiting, I understand and appreciate that some add-ons will take time until they are released. BTW, Henning, I am very excited about version 3 of Aeroworx's B200 for FSX. I am excited that it will be built "from the ground up" to take advanage of FSX. I love the B200 in FS9, and I know the FSX version will be as great, if not better. Thanks for over 200 hours in the excellent B200! 10850K, MSI Unify Z490, 32gb G.Skill Ripjaw 3600 CL16, MSI 5700 XT 8gb, Nochua NH-U12a, WD 500gb Black SSD (OS- Windows 10 Pro), Samsung 2tb Evo plus SSD (games), Superflower 850 watts power supply
October 25, 200619 yr Author That Gmax sdk is not yet released? No one that counts on Gmax for their models has been able to take the first baby step yet.

October 25, 200619 yr >That Gmax sdk is not yet released? No one that counts on>Gmax for their models has been able to take the first baby>step yet. That was my impression too so we have developers with 3dSmax (more professional tool also as GMAX ;)) and they can finishing 3d / 2d developement (the plugin is in the SDK)Andr André
