August 18, 20205 yr It’s not a bug. I can’t elaborate more though. But releasing today a trailer which is nothing like the real game is Ubisoft level Lukas Dalton
August 18, 20205 yr It could be a preview of the next update. But yes, it‘s a bit weird. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
August 18, 20205 yr "False advertising" - Good grief! If it's not in the sim right now, it'll be in as soon as the sim's bing data updates. They said that in the stream. This sim is a WIP for years to come, features are coming, it's literally only day 2. P3Dv4 + XP11 MFS

Which could be month or years... Doesn't matter. Don't show off stuff which is not in the release. Plain and simple. And if you do, say so. Label it as 'upcoming features' or 'coming sometime in the future'.
August 18, 20205 yr On a tangent, I have been flying south from Norway and I'm not coming in to refuel in sicily in my lovely c208b. Ive been flying over some bodies of water, oceans mainly, and they are surprisingly calm. A little bit boring in fact. It would be cool if there was a little bit more chop before the storm threshold. I hate such actions. shame shame shame Lukas Dalton

What a disappointment 😨😨 When FSX first came out it took 4 years for it to come of age, this will take time too. What they have done is created the tools to create these things and the engine to display these things, but your expectation of having your local beach a masterpiece from day one is an unrealistic expectation. Some premium stuff is already available and over time more will become available, just like every other release of a Flight Sim for over the past 40 years now, there has never been a situation where the globe was premium from day one. I expect the exact beach that was shown in the trailer with the caption "ingame captured" to look the same in game. thats not over xpecting. if the beaches will look like that in 4 years than they should have put a "render goal in 4 years" under the trailers. August 18, 20205 yr Living in one of the Covid Hot Spots, ah, Florid-duh, I might not have 10 years to actually wait for all the fixes and updates🤥
August 18, 20205 yr I wouldn‘t go as far as calling it false advertising, since we do have those water masks (just not everywhere) and they clearly stated in the Q&A that it‘s WIP. And we know those places will look like in the video at some point. For me personally that‘s no problem, I can wait. But I agree that releasing a video which prominently features something that‘s not there yet might not be the smartest move from a marketing perspective, especially when this feature has been so intensely discussed recently like this one (see Q&A). August 18, 20205 yr "Advertising Standards" is not in Microsoft's lexicon. I became dubious when it was stated 37,000 airports were modelled. United Kingdom has over 2,000 airfields so there's going to be a few missing in the rest of the world. I shall not be purchasing until I have confirmation XEG3BZ, Stoney Lane and XEG3AP, Alscot Park exist in MSFS2020. Take what you have seen in the advertising trailers with a sack of salt. Wait 6 months. Cheers.

August 19, 20205 yr What kind of silly argument is that? The whole gaming and simming industry is a first world problem. Heck, pretty much all our problems in the first world are first world problems.
