August 19, 20205 yr LOL... some of the "word not allowed"s commenting seems like it was the first time they ever witness software launches with their hate and venom spew... Seriously, take your mask of and confess you were haters from before as well because you don't want to conceive something being better than the huge investment you made on other software... Quirks, bugs, etc. for those that have them will get fixed, as always, probably very soon, and it will be the best sim ever.
August 19, 20205 yr As a default sim...Microsoft Flight Simulator is a very big step in the right direction. No other sim has offered a more complete world straight out the box. "Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting." So, let's have a bit of patience...give the sim a chance to grow, develop and evolve. Anthony A. Moise

Try it yourself and you'll see what I mean . All of that feels mostly fine for me. But you're right that I'm not comparing numbers with real world aircraft. I'm having too much flying right now. Also, there's an experienced aerobatic and old warbirds pilot on reddit who considers all civilian flight sims to be garbage because they don't model post stall behavior, spins and other edge cases well enough for him. And he's not wrong but that has never stopped me from enjoying these sims. He loves IL2 and Aerofly FS2. Subjective opinions yes, but they are most often qualified by experienced. I'd rather listen to a subjective opinion of someone who understands piloting and aerodynamics than the subject opinion of someone who doesn't. That doesn't rule out the other person entirely but there is an understandable weighting towards experience. Having said that I know a few pilots who are very good at that skill but have no interest at all in aerodynamics. They are procedurally extremely competent but have no interest in why a machine is moving as it does. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

That is why any aerobatic pilots would consider all of our civilian flight sims to be hot garbage. Won't stop people from flying in P3D, X-Plane or MSFS though.
