I don't believe so. Since afaik this can't be controlled by SimConnect I don't think P2A can do anything about it.

I saw in the update changelog :

  • Enables X-Plane 11.5+ extended AI Traffic
  • Enables full screen map display
  • Enables Printing of Flight Plan
  • Enables Import and Export of User Defined Waypoints in MSFS Flight Plans
  • Enhancements to Exports and Export panel
  • Adds some MSFS specific functions and improvements
  • Fixes REX Weather issues
  • Fixes some additional TERPs panel issues
  • Fixes for weather display and reporting
  • Fixes for some flight plan export issues
  • Fixes other bugs in 2.6.1.3

so I thought that the developer has been added it..

and now I understand... it's a minor thing... MSFS2020 DOES need FSUIPC it's just not updated to say so in the instructions...😉

Hiya,

I have used P2A very successfully in the past with X-Plane and now thinking of switching over to it for ATC in MSFS.  One big question.  I recently "reopened" a closed airport by way of the MSFS SDK and added the ILS and approaches for it via XML.  This all works inside the MSFS flight planner and MSFS ATC.  Is there any way I can make P2A aware of this airport and the associated approaches please?

No.  You can use MakeRunways to get the airport location and runways, etc. into P2A, but you cannot add approaches and controllers.

It's possible that P2A already has the airport in question in its "old" data, but if not, you won't be able to add it.

Hi there,

I wanted to check that FSUIPC7 is still required to run Pilot2ATC in MSFS2020?.  If so, as I understand it FSUIPC7 is no longer in Beta, but that much of the functionality you get with the registration key may not be required?

I've tried to download the v2.6.2 User Guide from the link in https://pilot2atc.com/V2Downloads  but not getting a response.

Thanks

Brendan

Many thanks for the quick response - looking forward to giving it a go!

MSFS 2020 is all about CTDs for me, although I really like it. There seems to be a limit to the number of things that can be connected with simconnect. So when I have FSUIPC, P2A, and FS Economy, I am already teetering on the brink. If I open a map or other simconnect mod, the chances of a CTD grows. And then we have all the avionics bugs with the Working Title mods to the Garmins 1000 and 3000 plus the GTN750 that has recently come out. And then there is the "4 maps" bug where if you have 4 maps open, you CTD on opening the 4th.

So I have had to repeat so many FS Economy flights that I have finally gone back to Xplane for a while. It's nice when stuff just works!

4 maps bug? New one on me, I normally have p2a, lnm, onair, volanta, navigraph and (sometimes) simtoolkit Pro. Running WT CJ & G3000, not a ctd yet.....

Hello. When using Pilot2Atc in msfs I don't get a response from controllers until after several attempts or I have to revert to using sayit interface to get a response. In P3D I do not have this issue, I always get a response on first attempt.  This is for many requests like clearance, pushback, taxi, etc. So it's not one phrase. I tried retraining voice recognition turning up mic volume, etc. Anyone else come across same where you can offer some advice?

Thanks

The only things I can think of are resources (Memory or CPU) running short since MSFS uses at least twice the resources of P3D, or some sort of setting, possibly in MSFS, that is affecting the volume or clarity of your mic.  For example, when a headset is set as both the default Communications input and the default Audio input, it stops working with P2A.

Maybe someone else has experienced this and has more definitive advice.

Maybe check that you're running the latest version of FSUIPC?

Hello! I'm facing similar problems on MSFS2020, not for all aerodromes or airports. but in spite of being recognized by MSFS and Navigraph and also recognition from Pilot2ATC during FPN creation, there is no response from these TWR, APP, GRD etc. I've already reinstalled the last revision os FSUIP7 and nothing had changed.
Try this: SDAI to SDCO, Brazilian cities. SDAI has no TWR and GRN controls, but SDCO has all, but no response.

I finally had discover that if I use the "SayIt" function, the system repeats the message and looks like unlocking everything, and the speech begin to be recognized again! A good way to check is use the "radio check" phrase; if there s no response after your speech, something is wrong.

I've found that too. Occasionally when my speech is not recognized ATC will stop responding. If I use 'say it' in this case, things will get back to normal and ATC carries on for the rest of the flight.
