I Can't Find The "Pause" key - NOT Active Pause

Featured Replies

Where has "P" which triggered a pause in P3D diasappeared to?

the  literal “pause”  button on your keyboard

But your speed will change

To my knowledge pause is now the escape key..with a giant UI menu in the way. Active pause replaced the P3D pause... However it is bugged and doesn't work because the simulation keeps running in the background causing over speeds and stalls when you unpause.

You can create that on your keyboard. I have P for enabling it and CTRL P for disabling. You mostly must use the 2 key. If you use only one, P for example, your aircraft will have
trouble when you'll hit the P a second time for disabling. So, P and CTRL P works perfectly 🙂

Get yourselves in to the Controls Menu > Keyboard > All

Search for:

Set Pause On - Allocate your preferred Keybind (e.g. P)

Set Pause Off - Allocate your preferred Keybind (e.g. CTRL-P)

the old pause function is ready to be assigned in the control options as "set pause on" and "set pause off"  Not sure why it has to be 2 items and not a toggle, but it is there.

Lol, yeah, had this happen a few times. 😲 It seems to work OK if you are in completely smooth air, but if the plane is moving around when you pause...watch out!

I've then been unable to use the auto pilot after that. As soon as I enable it, the plane heads straight for the ground.

I was using Shift and the Pause/Break key. Have to check which pause that is when I get back to my PC.
