Good Internet & Graphics Card but Horrible Autogen

Featured Replies

I am not sure what's going on. I have an RTX 2080 TI
and 87Mbps Down & 9.05Mbps Upload speeds

However when I playing the game recently my game looks horrible. This is the San Francisco area used in my example. Please help if you know what's wrong. I already have the latest graphics driver installed, the one that was supposedly optimized for MSFS 2020

I think most people are seeing this issue, interesting never saw this in the promotional videos which is a bit telling, hopefully they can make it better with a patch and there apparently is a way to increase the lod radius in config files if your already at the max setting in the Sim but will hit your fps pretty hard

Wow!!!

What settings are you running?

Ultra/High/Medium...etc!

I can relate, have the RTX280 Super, latest drivers, no matter what setting still have sub par graphics, hopefully the patch will help.

I’m having this same issue and can’t find a fix no matter what settings I change. I’m running an i7-8700k with a RTX 2080, and it can be low thru ultra and it happens no matter what. I have the latest drivers downloaded and can’t find a fix

Ultra. How does San Francisco show up at first when you take off from the airport and and head toward the city? For me it is sporadically loading bit by bit everytime as if it doesn't even cache it during the previous sessions either.

I even reinstalled the game and it didn't help

2080Ti, i7 8700k, 32GB, running from SSD, 4k on ultra, same internet speed as you, namelessmonster... exactly the same issue. I don't recall seeing these problems in alpha and beta but I flew almost exclusively in the UK which only has two cities with photogrammetry.

A hypothesis I have is it could be a network issue on Microsoft's end. With all the nodes exploring their (our) World at once in a multitude of ways, maybe the cloud is being throttled as they figure out a solution (upgrade systems hardware)

I believe it is a back end issue. Just like the ATC Azure, real world traffic & US weather issues.

Perhaps they rushed this out without first creating the back end Infrastructure first?

I'm running at medium settings and flew over the (UK) West Midlands yesterday evening (2100 UTC) at ~2500 feet and the landscape was stunning, so wonder if it's area related.

It's photogrammetry-related. As I said, there are only two areas in the UK where that's present, both on the south coast (Portsmouth and Southampton, fact-fans!).

I wonder whether creating a manual cache of the area with High detail might improve things?

same here i try all resolutions, lod 200, i have goood FPS about 40 in ultra settings bot auogen and LOD is horrible , trees are triangles at 2 miles of the plane and buildings are no definition, until i am very near. I think is a problem when you fly in VFR 2500-3000 Ft altitude. First days worls fine but since Sunday all horribel. Conection is 600 MB fiber and delete cache, restore cache try wit or with out cache and all is the same. Cant fly VFR

I open ports in my cable-modem, disable AV and firewall bit nothing works.

many including myself have noticed that creating a manual cache seems to make no difference at all in Photogrammetry areas
