My name is Robert and I'm a Flight Simulation simo-holic.I swore there was no way I was going to buy FSX before next year sometime./lowers gaze to floor embarrassed/I'm so ashamed to say that I only held on 2 days and then I broke down and bought it. Then I only held out a week before I bought more memory for my computer. Please help me because I really like FSX and I get decent performance (a reasonable compromise between FPS and eye candy) without going overboard on tweaks.I only hope my simo-holic buddy is half as helpful as those who have posted tips and hints in this forum.Robert

Hi Fellow Simmers:My name is Ken and I am ashamed to admit it but I fell off the wagon like othes.I made a promise to myself that I would not purchase FSX until it was usable with my computer P-4-3.0.I am sad to say that after others reported it was for sell prior to 17Oct.06 I rushed out to Best Buy and purchased the delux edition.I am going to need extensive therepy because not only did I commit a mortal sin by purchasing the program, I went further and purchased a Duo Core with a G Force 7950 Video Card and all the other toys that go along with it.Have to go now getting ready to Land:)Kenny G

I have been a flight sim junkie since the commodore vic-20 and final flight-around 1981. I have owned almost every flight sim ever made, and beta tested pro pilot, fly, and ms for several versions. My flight simming lead me to get my private pilot in 1989-and I have used every succesive sim to help practice for every rating I have gotten-currently commercial multi engine instrument rated. I am amazed that for the price of taxing from my hangar for one touch and go I can get a sim that does the whole world in very good detail, real weather, every instrument approach for the world, and now a flight model that is very close to my real Baron's flight. Shared cockpits, and multiplayer are icing on the cake.My wife is not too happy with the time I have spent flying fsxlately-but I got her some game software that is entertaining her on her computer..for now... Hi, I'm Adrian, and I'm an FS junkie.I write lists of planes I want to build in Gmax in my spare time (I've only made the Boomerang and half of the Avtek400 so far - both need updates to FSX too)I bought a 7800GTX but I feel inadequate because it only has 256MB and I don't have an SLI MB.I was a beta tester.I am single and have a largish income to spend on PC gear (maybe that's a positive)I was so inspired by this thread I wrote a song - check out 'Frame-rates for nothing' in the forum!Cheers and happy simming!

Hello my name is Jason (aka Maverick - if you have to ask, shame on you).I have been a Simaholic and a member of 'NRPBSTTAPBTUFSAA' (Non-Real Pilots But Still Think They Are Pilots Because They Use Flight Sim Anonymous Association) since I was much younger. My mother never thought I would get married, but my computer broke and had nothing else to do that day. :+My wife or at least I think its my wife moved my Computer next to the bed so she could see me more often. I often look up and nod or say "Yes I'll do it later" to her just in case she asked me to do something like take the garbage out. :-walksmile If I do need work I often go to the stop light down the road and put up a sign "Will work for Dual Core or the latest Flight1 release". Hi, My name is Monnie, and I ain't admitting to nothing! I said I'm not going to buy FSX til you guys get it figured out for me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!Course...I said I wasn't going to buy a certain scenery, which shall remain nameless, (See my signature), produced by a certain company, which shall remain nameless, (It's a scenery that will come to you in a Dream)because everything I heard, read, and researched about it said "Don't do it!!!I did it! I don't know what happened! I kept saying "no"..."no" and all of a suddened my credit card jump into my hand and my fingers betrayed me by typing the information into the order form.I'm so ashamed. Now my wife and daughter won't stop laughing and me and the dogs treat me with disgust. I don't know what I'm going to do. Every time I get in my vehicle it automatically turns toward BestBuy. So far I've faught it. But Christmas is coming. I'll have to go there and I know it will be there. It will be there and I'll see it.
