Live Traffic Volume Tied To AI Slider

Featured Replies

Maybe someone can confirm my results but I was always wondering about the lack of lots of online traffic. I realized at one point I turned on AI offline and set sliders to 10 percent. Turned off AI offline and went back to live traffic. I see some planes but not alot.

So, I went back in, turned on AI offline, set sliders to 50% each and saved. Turned back on Live traffic went back in game and planes are everywhere. I know the two are supposed to be independent of each other but it does seem that live traffic for some reason is tied to your traffic volume setting for AI offline.

Get ready for more “Delta 328 you are 20,000ft above your assigned altitude...” followed by a “Southwest 2343 you are 15,000ft above your assigned altitude...”

It's not a bug the ATC controller just has a fear of heights.

I have offline set 100% and see lots of traffic at airports but with live traffic i get less traffic, and the slider is disabled in live traffic

Strange. I thought maybe it might be been somehow tied to the slider. I guess I just got lucky!

Maybe it's because the Covid related slow down in flights generally.

I've been thinking this as well. There's nowhere near the same amount of flight right now as there was 6 months ago.

Set the slider in the position you want while in offline mode and then switch to live traffic.

I think he is saying that you set the traffic sliders for OFFLINE traffic first (like to 100%), and THEN you go to main menu and set live traffic. He suggest that the offline sliders affect the live traffic generation.

I did that but didn't make any difference, live traffic is maybe 5% of what it really is
