I'd love for people to try them out and report how their systems handle it to help strategize the VRAM budget for the complete final version. I've been meaning to test-fly the latest Bush League Legends XCub performance mod. Sounds like I'm taking it to Yosemite. 🙂

Only El Capitan has the updated model & texture, the rest of the valley is still as it is in 1.0 There are 4 versions to choose from: vfxsimmermods-yosemite-valley.zip - this includes the 16k map version of El Capitan and the the rest of my previous version of the valley vfxsimmermods-yosemite-valley-medium.zip- this includes the 4k map version of El Capitan and the rest of my previous version of the valley vfxsimmermods-elcapitanonly-16k.zip- this is ONLY the 16k version of El Capitan with the default (MSFS version) park - use it to test performance on high-end pcs vfxsimmermods-elcapitanonly-4k.zip - this is ONLY the 4k version of El Capitan with the default (MSFS version) park - use it to test performance on mid-range pcs The last two are there so you can JUST test the new model without the legacy of version 1.0 If you're going to do a video/screenshots, use the first one (vfxsimmermods-yosemite-valley.zip). Even with a 16k map and the rest of version 1.0, I was only using about 4G of VRAM and the performance was pretty solid.

Loaded the 4K....took out all other mods so none of you other stuff (did that for the patch today)....sorry I didn't get performance numbers....but flying with my buddy, neither of us noticed any performance issues (mediocre systems) On our way to the Cap.... In sight now.... Closer.... At this point Carl hit a roller off the mountain and was blown to the right in his little Cub. 🙂 And my departing shot....with an unusual angle (I liked this one) Outstanding work my friend! Keep it up please! 🙂 Edited October 14, 20205 yr by Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
October 14, 20205 yr I can't compete with @Steve Dra when it comes to graphics... but it was A LOT OF FUN- and visually stunning! Thanks so much- I will be back! Never had a bad one yet...and I suspect we never will when great folks like @VFXSimmer are supplying us with outstanding scenery to fly over and gawk at! 🙂 Look forward to more flights here with you when we get all @VFXSimmer's stuff up and running! October 14, 20205 yr Author Fantastic shots guys! (Incidentally you also highlighted another item on my list which is to work on removing the baked in 'shadow side' of the photogrammetry. The left face of the cliff is artificially dark with the sun shining straight upon it. I have found software that says it can address this kind of thing - I'll give it a shot and see how well it works). Glad to see the 4k version looking good too!
October 14, 20205 yr And as if to punctuate the great feeling flying over this scenery gave me....I had the sim on pause while I processed all the pics...went downstairs to get a bite to eat. When I came back...the sim time was still running (as it does)....and presented me with this: Can't think of a better way to round down a long day at work! Sincere thanks @VFXSimmer!! Fun fact - that small area below the tire is where 'horseshoe falls' is. These falls are seasonal, but in late November and February (I believe), the settting sun falls just right to ONLY illuminate the water - making it look like the water is on fire. Can't wait to get waterfalls working in this when the FX sdk is released!

Its definitely a lot better as far as the one asset that's been updated is concerned (El Captian). It will be a while before the full valley scenery has been updated however so hard to say. Check my post above - there are some downloads with JUST the new model, try it and let me know how it works on your system.
