September 13, 20205 yr Two iconic aircraft from the golden age of aviation. In development by Wing42!
September 14, 20205 yr Wow, that does look pretty good. I would love to have one true Golden Era plane in the sim -- the Pitts doesn't quite cut it for me. I'd prefer an Electra, but I'll take a Vega for sure. I'll keep an eye out for this one, thanks.
September 14, 20205 yr I'm done with Wing42. Not a single word in more than a year on his "official forum". So many promises and nada regarding the Vega's development for P3D. Not the best way to deal with customers in my personal opinion.
September 14, 20205 yr The long silence was kind of off-putting. I mean, if you're doing other things that's fine, but you might occasionally drop a line to your customers once in a while. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 14, 20205 yr Moderator He has been quite busy developing the Blender2MSFS utility, which will allow both him and freeware Blender developers to export their projects to native glTF format for MSFS (both scenery and aircraft), as well as the Blender2FSX/P3D utility. September 15, 20205 yr I've been hoping someone would have a decent crack at the Boeing 247 for years. As far as I'm aware, the 247 has only ever been done in a fairly mediocre freeware incarnation, which is a shame because it's an elegant design and was perhaps one of the most important aereoplanes ever built. Having said all that, grandiose announcements are fine, it's results which matter, and as we know, this developer has not exactly pleased customers with preceding efforts. September 15, 20205 yr I own the Wing42 Vega for FSX and I can warmly recommend it. Yes the infrequent updates are an issue - in fact at one point I was quite sure the project had been abandoned - but the plane is great fun. Very lovingly and detailedly modelled even including walkarounds, pre-flight maintenance and things like this. If the developer puts the same effort into an MSFS add-on I am very much looking forward to it! Cheers, Sailor
