September 17, 20205 yr It’s like looking at FS9 blurries sometime. There are massive posts over the MSFS forums about it. Doesn’t seem to be acknowledged by ASOBO. Basically, above 1000ft, the ground looks rubbish. It’s not sharp. Not in the slightest. And the runways from above look like pixelated mess. They need to increase the ZL. And the popping buildings and autogen, P3D solved that didn’t they?
September 17, 20205 yr Are you flying the same MSFS that I am flying? 😉 Quote: "One man's rubbish is another man's treasure.." Edited September 17, 20205 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

Neither Bert (above post), nor I, nor most others are experiencing what you describe. As you allude to, are some others experiencing these things? Sure, but most are not. i7-12700K; GF RTX 3080Ti 12 GB; MSI Z690 MB; 32 GB DDR5 4800Mhz (16x2); 850W 80+ Gold PS; 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD + 2 TB HDD @ 7200 + Kingston 4TB XS2000 USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Ext. One thing I've noticed, is that every time I restart FS (since patch 2), it dumb's down my previous graphics settings. They apparently no longer stick. I have to go back in and update to what I think looks good, while maintaining an acceptable frame rate.

In P3D5.1 HF2 I still see popping autogen in extended flats like the Silicon Vally as soon as I set the Autogen Draw Distance slider higher than Medium. Just for the record, otherwise it would belong to the P3D forum. September 17, 20205 yr I believe it all depends on the photogrammy data for the particular area in question. The better the data the better the ground textures... Chris Camp

It’s more the zoom level I feel. I’m probably used to ortho in XP, but, to me it’s much much clearer. MSFS ortho seems low quality in comparison.
