Seen so many aviation videos about bird strikes and birds near the runways makes me wish FS2020 had bird strikes implemented and random flock of birds flying around the runways.

One can only dream...

It does have birds but they are not random - search for fauna!

Maybe Asobo will get around to it eventually, after the current issues are cleared up and there's time for "extras."

Birds and a random bird strike failure option have been in X-Plane for years, so it's a cool feature for those who want it. XP also has deer running across the runway as a hazard, although I'm not sure that's in the current version. That sort of thing really needs a trigger so it only fires on grass or dirt strips, not at major urban airports. Bird strikes on the other hand, can happen anywhere.

Being a fan of unusual names for gatherings of animals, I applaud your correct usage of skein....the word to describe geese while in flight.

When I'm in my amphibian aircraft and gaggle of them swim up to my plane....they are usually quite docile. 🙂

true - that term should be reserved for professional f-sports teams involved in things like online pylon racing or buzz the llama competitions. Which brings up a pertinent point, why do we have elephants and giraffes but no llama's ?

I think the correct terminology for the group is a “complain” of simmers.
