September 30, 20205 yr Regarding DirectX 12 not having a significant performance impact for most people, it is likely that they're saying this because the overwhelming majority of systems are GPU-limited when running the simulator, not because of the API bringing minimal CPU performance improvements. Hopefully they will go more in detail about this some other time.
September 30, 20205 yr (11) Metric units Haven't started on this yet, but it's a small update. Gonna come at the same time as other update that visits settings pages etc.
September 30, 20205 yr they just mentioned they got some ORBX people involved in the airport updates team thats reallly good to know . Image removed as image is no longer available.
September 30, 20205 yr Switching over to top bugs now. Going to write update of where everything is at in future feedback snapshots to better track issues. (1) Accurate taxiway names / signage updates (not world update) They really seem to go in as bugs & have a team that fixes airports (700+ airports fixed in world update). They want feedback to get things addressed...
September 30, 20205 yr Anything about the LOD issue? (Sorry in a mid video conference call 😕 ) Edited September 30, 20205 yr by omarsmak30 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

September 30, 20205 yr Really frustrated that they didn't answer the accurate taxiway names question properly. They treat them like "airport bugs" when what we were going for was an ability to edit default airports and fix taxiway names ourselves...

That's cool too, but it sounds like it's part of the world updates, which I specifically said we aren't talking about 😕 Really hoping we get the ability to modify taxiway names ourselves...
September 30, 20205 yr @ChaoticBeauty Seems you were not too far off with the Sim Update. Hopefully it contains some solid stuff. I'd like an improvement of specific flight models (planes) and general aerodynamics like control sensitivity. Maybe even turboprop engine logic. So some true progress! If ASOBO can pull off something of that scale I am totally satisfied. Edited September 30, 20205 yr by tweekz Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

Indeed, if they just add it to the Scenery Editor in dev mode to modify airports, that is more than enough. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
September 30, 20205 yr They stayed away from making a study level airliner to avoid hurting third parties. They felt the same way about the Garmin / G1000 at first, but now they're thinking based on community feedback that they might need to go all the way and make it as good as possible.

This is the question I'm asking for the next Q&A and pushing for in the wishlist. They misunderstood the scenery gateway system as adding in custom objects and buildings, but we mean to edit airports...
September 30, 20205 yr Love that they admitted they rushed the first few patches and that they could use our help to test them as two weeks are not enough for this. They also said that they will bring back pre-release testing at some point, we just need to give them time to plan this out.

Did they say pre-release testing only for the VR release only, or will they continue pre-release testing for patches after VR release as well? i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
