Many people have reported massive graphical degradation post patch 3 from Asobo, particularly in view distance. These videos seem to show a different story, at least for some of us.

Very nice video.  Some great bridge updates.  Wish we could get some of those in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the comparison.

When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Great videos. Just got back from flying by the Great Seto bridge...funnily enough it was the Abroad In Japan Vlog that got me to check that out

Yet another comparison video. And yet again, when actual video or pictorial comparisons of before and after an update become available, they show little to support the numerous complaints of massive visual degradation.

At some point I begin to wonder the if community is suffering from some form of the illusory truth effect....

Looks like everyone is right. There are some major improvements in scenery, but some degradation in some textures, likely due to trying to optimize this to placate all the FPS word not allowed.

SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Big changes are clear in this very good videos and even after something like this some still find a way to bash down any progress...

If they model everything in every city somewhere someone will say they missed the name of a road and that the street signs are missing IN A FLIGHT SIMULATOR let me REPEAT this A FLIGHT SIMULATOR.

Image removed as image is no longer available.

Surely these are false videos. How is it possible to get exactly the same cloud shapes between instances of the game?! As far as I understand how they have implemented the atmosphere, that should be impossible. Yet the clouds are identical.

Presets, seen from the same angle and time of day, reveals that those cloud patterns are hand created. (But not necessarily static)

Stop coming up with fact and evidences, its not how it works here! Stop right NOW! We must keep whining, we love it so much.

@raymar

Ray, I’m really looking forward to the NA/USA update next month. If it’s as good or better than the Japan update, I’ll be busy for months!

Fingers x’ed!
