Anyone Seen This Before??

So I'm having a pleasant flight from LA to San Diego, ATC clears me down to 2000 feet, about to begin my ILS into San Diego, when I lost my Avionics.  They all froze.  Attitude was a 20* bank to the right, speed 200 knots, altitude 3610 feet in a 1200 fps descent.  All the instruments stayed there while I did a visual approach and landing into San Diego.  I've heard of the screens going black but not freezing.  I'm in the TBM 930 when this happened.

Were you running on battery only?  If you didn't put on the gens, you may have drained it.

I did not do a cold and dark start.  I did a quick check and they were on as far as I remember.

I had the same thing happen to me last night (172 with G1000).  Was on my approach to an unfamiliar airport at night and was trying to set my barometer - would not change.  Tried heading and altitude - nada!  Toggled avionics switches and still nothing.  So time to fly it down myself.  As I was landing, I heard something like 'TAWS test complete'.  Once on the ground, I tried some things and everything worked.  So very odd.  Yes, I have had the 'black screen' happen before and 'fixed' that by turning on the 'use generic planes' or whatever it's called.  But never had anything like this happen.  I am using the Working Title G1000 mod 0.30.

I too and using the Working Title G1000 mod 0.3

I have this happen all the time when flying the King Air 350i. I just toggle the MFD switch (front-left panel) and it reboots the center MFDs and all works well for another ~10mins or so; then have to repeat the procedure.

My biggest issue is that the AI Pilot (since the1.9.3.0 patch) is that the pilot doesn’t fly to any other waypoints or even the destination airport as it did previously.

Does anyone else experience these issues since the latest patch?

Terrain avoidance warning ? How odd.

I have had this once so far too. G1000 froze up but only partially. Airspeed and altitude tapes froze but heading indicator still worked. Also using the mod but I don’t think it is mod related, more of a bug on Asobo’s side.

Just attempted to fly another ILS in San Diego and the same thing happened again.  PFD instruments froze only this time it was in the G36 not the TBM 930.  I recently installed the LatinVFR for KSAN.  I don't know if maybe this is causing a problem or not.  Maybe I need to uninstall the airport and try it.  All ILS approaches everywhere else I have flown have gone off without a hitch.

I don’t believe it’s the airport, rather the constantly repeated concern about the avionics turning off after a while. Even @Bert Pieke whom I’d suggest, knows more about this type of programming than most, has experienced such problems.

Hopefully Asobo’s next patch will solve this, and many other basic sim stability issues.

I kind of figured it probably wasn't the airport, with others experiencing the same thing.  I hope your right and they get it fixed with the next update..

I had it happen again today as well.  This time I wasn't on approach so I was able to wait it out and see if the system would return.  It did and I was able to reestablish the correct heading and do an ILS landing.  It took about 10 minutes from the time the system froze up to it working successfully (the 'TAWS test complete' message).

Had the PFD  freeze up today on an  IFR flight from KCMH (Columbus) to KBWG (Bowling Green, KY) @ 16,000 ft about 2/3rds of the way enroute.  The backup instruments still functioned as well as the autopilot, and the PFD came back to life when entering the APPR.  First time I've experienced that in the TBM.

Just had the exact same thing happened to me.  This is the 5th time in a row.  Hope they get this fixed soon.

Had this happen to me on the TBM five times in a row. Speed and Altitude tape froze. Standby instruments continued to work. One time is came back on while descending.

I have been told by several people its a bug common thru multiple planes and PFD's. No sure what happened but yesterday I had three successful complete flights without any hiccups.
