secondly, you don’t need to insult my intelligence with the shoe Salesmen app analogy. I’m very well aware of the consequences. I’m arguing the fact of....how could he even get past said verification that the airline should be doing to prevent this stuff. That’s all....

It's got nothing to do with insulting your intelligence, I was pointing out the part of his fraud was faking GA hours; there's not really any way an airline could check those and if someone had colluded with him to do that, even more so.

Hilarious 😆

I’ve seen a few of those registrations  myself. And then there are those with the 0747400 phone numbers!

This is why my only social media activity is on avsim rather than pprune

Someone needs to have a word with 787 'Ace'. That parking is anything but!

Not even lined-up properly on the taxi line for the stand...

You mean he should have been pointing the other way, with the front wheels close to the line?

It's a pity the lines are not painted yellow.. with stop lines for Range Rover, BMW, Micra.. etc

Actually, I think 787 ACE has a sense of humour - the 787 is a widebody after all. 🍻

Bless him. He probably thought that he needed extra space for the wings.

Looking at the car types and the reg plates, I think there's definitely a bit of compensatory Freudian stuff on display in that car park.

787 ACE's parking joke I can totally understand centring the car over the line, but I'm at a loss over the tag line of SF04 EVA regarding short haul command. Does that mean the guy just wants to engage the AP after 400 feet AGL and disengage it before landing, thus building up loads of hours monitoring systems on transatlantic flights and hardly any hours actually flying the plane? I presume it pays way more money though..

I’m not sure of the pay structure at that particular airline but long haul probably will pay more.

Its also a lifestyle choice, travelling to far away places and getting off to explore and relax is nice. On the other hand doing short haul means you get home to the family every night.

There’s no right answer, short haul can mean very early starts and lots of them, but long haul has time zones and night flights to contend with.

The other thing with long haul is you tend to get a more fancy jet to fly !
