Not quite sure I understand the question, but take a look at LittleNavMap ...

i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

or the freeware 'VFRMAP' mod for MS202 which is essentially the same visually as the XP one.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB

Little NavMap is an excellent choice.

Agreed, except that the freeware VFR map has one feature the others do not, which I use a lot: the instant teleporting of the plane to any spot on the globe. An amazing tool.

I like LittleNavMap a lot.  The latest 2.6.1 Beta can load in the MSFS scenery library, so the airport, runway, and navaid data you see are the same as in the sim.  Very useful for planning if you want to stick with free tools vs paying for say Navigraph.  It has a logbook that actually registers, collects aircraft performance data that you can save and then use to plan fuel consumption on future flights, etc.

What did you have to do to connect Littlenavmap to MSFS2020?

I also have LNM but use it offline right now on a networked PC

If you are real world pilot and use SkyDemon, you can connect it to the sim, but a plugin is required to do so.
