October 16, 20205 yr I just noticed something peculiar when using the fefault A320 Neo. When I plan an IFR flight to an airport (which does not have an addon airport for that airport installed. I get the ILS frequency auto populated on the FMC/CDU The moment I am flying to an airport where I have addon airport scenery installed, I do not have the ILS frequency.. I have google for it and type the frequency manually Hmmm Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
October 16, 20205 yr Sounds like whoever designed the airport in the scenery editor did not add in frequencies for ILS approach systems.

October 16, 20205 yr Author Is there a way I can add them? to the airport, not every time I fly to it. Edited October 16, 20205 yr by Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

But you can change features in stock airports like approaches and ILS by using the SDK to create a stub airport based on an XML file and not deleting the stock features (runways, parking, taxiways, etc.) that you want to retain. It might work also with an add-on airport but then one has to hope that the order of the scenery is correct in the MSFS scenery configuration file. And no one is sure whether the ordering of that file really works.

I'm sure that if it were all addon sceneries, we would have heard screaming by now.

In the SDK you have a set of parameters you can choose yo remove from the base airspace whether it be physical or navaids. Maybe its removed on the custom air field which is overwriting the default airspace but at the same time it does raise a valid query as to how he is hooking it up via fmc, maybe the underlying fields parameters are stored but not captured. Im only a rookie at the sdk myself so i could not give a detailed report on it.
October 17, 20205 yr We (I) desperately need a program like AFCAD or Airport Facilitator X that works for MSFS. Even more so since MS/Asobo decided not to provide ILS frequencies from the world map like we had in FSX.
October 17, 20205 yr Author Additional Information: It's not all addon Airports that has this issue. I am flying A320 Neo from Flightbeam KPDX to FSDT CYVR (Vacover) and It has the ILS frequency populated in the MCDU. When I tried flying from CYVR to KPDX I did not have the ILS Freq. bin any case I had a CTD and could not complete the flight. I am now trying the otherway around. Hopefully it would not CTD this time. Let's see. I completed my KPDX to CYVR without issues. However, there is no chance I can fly from CYVR to KPDX without a CTD midway. October 17, 20205 yr Author The CTD is happening around KSEA. confirmed! I flew the Caranado Mooney from KBVS to KSEA IFR not the A320 Neo this time. And right near KSEA before the ATC handed me to KSEA, Boom CTD. So its not the airport I depart from, its not the aircraft I fly.. Its KSEA the default airport... Something there that causes my CTD. Repeatable. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
