If anyone is interested, i recorded all my training flights in the Jabiru. Would be a good resource for anyone flying this aircraft in MSFS https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXdH2EnueX0-aqorWOrzF2YtwWQzg8_ig I am will check those videos out. So far looks like an interesting addon. It seems it adds two aircraft to the selection window the J160 and the J170, Then by changing liveries you can change paint schemes and flip between steam and glass cockpits for each variant. NOTE: I have not flown one enough to comment on FM and I have not had time to read up all the documentation Some initial comments: - the Jabiru is a tiny aircraft - two airframes and 4 cockpits is good value - I am not sure how to tell which cockpit you will get with which livery other than noting it down. - The co-pilot/instructor is enabled in cockpit view which is kind of cool, though I am yet to work out how to turn that off/ fly solo. - works fine with my FFB2 and trackir - seems a bit flaky with the Saitek Switch panel, some things work others not - sound EXCELLENT - external view EXCELLENT - cockpit view OK/GOOD , gauges and controls are perfect but some other textures like carpet are a bit simplistic, - it has a very good pilot manual on pdf - recommended - YES Some pics - I forget to disable the HDR before taking these screenshots so the colour is not 100% hence the white sky Edited October 23, 20205 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
October 23, 20205 yr Great pics Glenn. From memory the 170 has a longer wingspan and likes to float more during round out. I preferred the 160 as it was a bit easier to get on the ground. It is a good mod I am happy with the purchase, as I said the one minor issue is the cockpits, they are a bit old school and not as "photo real" as say the default 152, better textures will eventually help. Also in one of the 4 panels, the steam gauge 170, the rudder pedals are not animated. Probably a config file issue I can tweak myself as it works fine in the other 3 cockpits. The other thing is the aircraft really does not like the Saitek Switch panel plugin at all, hitting switches occasionally makes things flash for a second but that is it. Oddly the magneto and starter switch which stuffs up in other mods DOES work. I have stopped using the switch panel with the jabiru until I can get it sorted. It is most likely just a matter of tweaking the config files which would have been setup without the Saitek panel in mind. This is more a Saitek issue than a problem with the aircraft. Saitek switch panels are problematic with most mods. Seriously though these are very minor issues. This aircraft is incredibly easy to fly, super stable to trim and probably the easiest aircraft in the sim to do circuits and touch and go. It is actually great value and incredible fun. October 23, 20205 yr It's looks really well done. Just not going to purchase because it's a light single piston hehe. We need some mid size cabin twins or even something like a Malibu or M600. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Their lineup for other sims includes a batch of singles like a Christen Eagle biplane, Grob 109B motor glider, CT4 military trainer, T6B Texan, Grob G115, a T6 Texan, Pilatus PC 21 .. you get the idea ... and then their multi engine planes are the other extreme things like an A10 Warthog, F22 Raptor and a C27J Spartan. No GA twins. I think the biggest recommendation for the Jabiru would be to new pilots as it is it amazingly easy to fly in this sim. Trimming for level flight is really straight forward and once trimmed it stays that way. It has plenty of take-off power and it is tolerant of any pilot errors. That said it will mainly appeal to Aussies as we have so many of them about. If yu are looking at learning to fly here or even hire a plane there is a good chance it will be a Jabiru. Meanwhile, I finally managed to get a screenshot with HDR turned off. J170 at Key West ... oh .. and yes the doors do open Edited October 23, 20205 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
October 23, 20205 yr Yeah I worked a lot of those JAB2's as ATC....then they traded out all of them for Archers hehe. Honestly they are just too slow to sequence with from a controller side - but I bet they were great little trainers from the pilot side. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Thank you very much! One more question - Does the second Cockpit with the AP have gauges or cockpit lights for the night flying?

I will say it is probably one of the best behaved light GA aircraft I have flown in this sim and given you get two (albeit similar) airframes that they sell separately for other sims, it seems pretty good value.
October 24, 20205 yr OK for what it is worth, I made a short video of all the cockpit options for every livery. If I can get around to it, I will make one later of the actual liveries in external view.
