October 29, 20205 yr In my case it is my ED Tracker, causing the CTD with the new patch. As soon as I plug it in, MSFS CTD. When I start it before the MSFS, I CTD at Japan landmark startup screen. Edited October 29, 20205 yr by Skymaster9999
October 29, 20205 yr I'm trying to maintain my serenity. I'm heading to the MS forums to give them a piece of my mind. MSFS

I have a CH Flight Yoke and Thrustmaster HOTAS X plugged into a USB hub that I enable and disable in the game depending on what I fly. I disconnected the hub and MSFS 2020 started up. I went in and updated all the files in content manager, and now I am in the process of narrowing down which of the three things (The HOTAS X, The Flight Yoke, or the HUB, that is causing the CTD)

I don’t even know why would I touch content folder to be honest. I've verified community folder is now empty and I still get CTD's. My community folder has A320 and 787 mods and their liveries but I cannot delete them anymore. October 29, 20205 yr No problems here. I emptied my community folder, other than the payware airports, before the update. 13 minutes ago, skysurfer said: My community folder has A320 and 787 mods and their liveries but I cannot delete them anymore. Locked up You can't remove items while the sim is running, just in case that's what you trying. Otherwise, reboot and try again. It's a hardware issue 100% in my case. SN737

So still troubleshooting. So far MSFS2020 only likes my keyboard and mouse.....grr. Edited October 29, 20205 yr by wthomas33065
October 29, 20205 yr Just checking in to let post that removal of all my usb peripherals loads the sim. MSFS
October 29, 20205 yr Author I read about this too, didn’t help me though. Someone reported that it was audio driver issue etc. I also read that even complete reinstall 5 times didn’t help. October 29, 20205 yr Have also a CTD. Disconnected all my peripherals and plugged them again one by one. CH pro pedals OK, CH Yoke OK, Logitech dual action OK But Saitek trim wheel CTD and CH throttle CTD as well.

What we can confirm is that it is hardware related then, at least on our side. Edited October 29, 20205 yr by SergioN SN737
October 29, 20205 yr Author Based on MSFS forum it mostly controls related. Unplugging certain controls fixes CTD but you cannot use those controls any longer. So what’s the point then? Fly with just a computer mouse? October 29, 20205 yr Author Looks like community manager in MSFS forum has reached out the developers after reading all complains related to CTD. I hope they will start working on new update.
