Does this use geographical data to augment how it calculates the coloring? Because in California there’s no way the trees would get anywhere near those colors...

Looks very good! The problem is the trees also need to be shedding their leaves in various stages to look authentic.

I doubt this will be possible with this sim.

These are not texture or bitmap based.

Really?  That's crude and unfortunate.  I thought they would use shaders tied to lattitude and elevation so that they could have for example the fall season develop over a month or two where green leaves of dicidious trees will slowly turn color over time and eventually fall off.  Eventually that is what the best sim will do, but perhaps not this time around w/ MSFS.

Yes, don't forget about the age of trees. As they mature and die, they won't produce leaves anymore 🙂

Yes, it's regional based. I live in LA myself and LA won't have those vivid colors. 🙂 Check back for snapshots from LA soon.

Not anymore broken. Looks good

I generally think there will always be users who prefer more vidid, more red, more yellow or whatever colors. There will hardly be a solution fitting all. It's not only a matter of personal reception but also of the region where you live in (as already remarked by others).

Kind regards, Michael

I am looking for couple of volunteers who can test this out and report any issues there might be. You would need to explore different areas in the world and send me screenshot with location if you find any issues.

Send me a private message if you're interested.

Thank you

There is only so much this third party mod can do.  Asobo will have more flexibility in their implementation I'm sure...  When they finally get to it on the backlog.

Yes.

Maybe not as much as the northern part. However that can be customized if you want to see more colors in your region.
