Continue / Log screen after engine shutdown

Featured Replies

Hello,

After a flight and at he gate when I shutdown the engines the "stupid" continue screen/logbook  etc is displayed.
Which is really annoying.

Is there a way to get ride of this

It's dumb and ruins the immersion a little - makes it too video game like. Sometimes it doesnt come up for me and not entirely sure why.... perhaps when I don't use ATC at all?

I hate this, it ruins the immersion.

System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

Oddly for me it increases immersion as the very first thing I do after shutting down is pull out my logbook and note the engine hours and fill in the flight details.

However I agree it should be optional, just because logging all flights is a legal requirement for real world pilots does not mean every sim pilot also wants to do it.

I would not complain if it pop up after I turned off the aircraft completely to cold & dark.

fair point

I'm always annoyed by the fact it only records some of my flights. although that's partially because I always like to make my departure the last place I landed.

Y'all do know that when the logbook thing pops up, you can hit "Continue" and you'll be back in the cockpit and can complete your shutdown or whatever you wish to do.

I look at it as: Oh great! The sim recognized that I completed the flight and has logged it properly, instead of that "vicinity" thing it sometimes does. 😉

Don't do that!  Clicking continue connects your computer to the government's intranet and allows for all your actions to be monitored.  You can find out more about it by going to:

Yes I know (see topic name)
But still it's not what I want/like.

I want to be the boss of the plane/flightsim and I don't like other screens pop-up in he middle of engine shutdown.

I actually like it for the reason posted above - the sim recognises a complete flight and logs it as such. But I especially like the music which only plays in this context. It's pretty high quality which means it would have cost them some to put it in the game, so it evidently means a lot to Asobo too.

Sim/Game arguments to follow.

Possibly what we need is an option to complete an actual pen and paper logbook and scan the entry.

If I click Continue it doesn't log the flight for me.

It's ridiculus, and there should be a way to turn it off.
