Today I stumbled on this excellent mod buried in the many messages over at the official forums

After applying the mod using the built-in ATC is a lot more enjoyable.
Asobo have their work cut out with this! They just need to include it in one of the next patches to satisfy many of us

If only ATC would issue proper VFR entry/VFR exits (included in the ATIS aswell where I fly). That would be icing on the cake!

That's European....I know nothing about haha.  Seems cool though!  Oh unless he's making a template that could be a regional pack...  I know there's a few more controllers lurking here that might have suggestions for a US mod.

@ryanbatcund A general problem .... no one  should need a mod for proper phraseology.

ICAO has the standard phraseology and we all, pilots or controller, should use it.

I did not check the mentioned mod so far, but my experience is, that ATC in Europe uses much more this ICAO standard, not so in the US......

We had a lot of accidents/incident only for that reason - "regional phraseology".

Well you can't mod the sim to change phraseology depending where you are, that's something Asobo would have to do themselves, or a third party external program.

I'm surprised this mod did not gain much popularity, it improves ATC substantially also by removing the annyoing repeated messages. 
It is the first time I enjoy default ATC in a sim.

I believe @RXP played a part on the development of this mod so thanks goes out to you too!

Well I'm just mentioning that the mod is TOTALLY different phraseology than what I would say here in the US.

Thank you for this! I'm just helped with the PowerShell script, validating its implementation and making suggestions. I'm still working on implementing a more generic script which would allow changing any such FS2020 json file more easily and I'll post about this if it ends up being of any value.

All credits to the phraseology goes solely to the original author though!

Probably because it is not a community folder mod, and most people don't want to replace default files because it causes problems with updates. I wanted it too but didn't install because of this. Hope the author can find a way to make it work using the community folder.

just back up the file and replace it with the old one before the update.
