Hey 

I run into a small issue today, 

Did a Quick flight with the cessna longitude and at my surprise, when I hit the proc button and try to select an approach or transition nothing happen, i click but nothing, I cant select anything since the Last update 😕

 

Am I the only one ? 

These Garmins are generally broken.  You should be able to select an approach but Asobo doesn't have data for all airports.

Workingtitle has done some great mods to the G1000 and G3X (and g3000) that help a bit.

What airport are you trying?

Here's a pic of mine... I am using the above G3000 mod (even though the citation is g5000 or supposed to be) but I first select Direct To and airport.  In this case, KFCM.  I then press PROC button on this little unit and this is what pops up.  You can then press the approach and change it, or change the transition and then activate it...but Asobo doesn't code it right so sometimes the fixes won't all load on your MFD.

The airport I tried to approach was KBBG, 

There is a few approach for this one in navigraph, 

 

Maybe ill try the navigraph navdate update and see if it works 😕

In real life you would only need to press PROC, enter your airport code and select an approach.  I think you need to first enter a destination.

I already have a destination, 

The first thing I do is set my flight plan, departure/arrival and way point and then I go to the proc page 😕

The Garmins are still broken... you should not expect to use them for anything more than a moving map at present.

So, did few try today and I fixed the problem by updating Navdata with Navigraph 🙂

Not true whilst still a little quirky with the latest mods from working title and latest navigraph data I am finding them much more usable in terms of insert arrivals approaches and direct to

No, they're not. Buggy, yes, but you can fly an ILS or RNAV approach with few problems. The "flying back to the last waypoint" is still an issue, but less so, and can be mitigated by following various workarounds posted here and elsewhere. So, no, the Garmins aren't broken.

Yes. Seems to work well.

This means they're broken.  The FPL still sequences waypoints incorrectly.  You'll enter an approach, and for starters, the path the plane takes to the fix is massively wide (if not a u turn or something odd).  Next you'll do that huge turn and skip the IAF (so it would be USER direct FAF or a fix that is not the IAF).  This doesn't always happen, but again, buggy and inconsistent.

Have you tried shooting an RNAV (GPS) approach from the central IAF?  Good luck getting the Garmin to fly a HilPT.  You'd be lucky if the database even has all the transitions!

Broken.  Unreliable.

Neither broken, nor unreliable. Bugs, yes. It's a default iteration. Feel free to wait 10 years for the real thing to appear.

You must not have any experience with a GNS, GTN, G1000.  If you're used to default FSX GPS530 stuff, then these avionics would appear to be better - I'll give you that

What airport are you trying?

 

 

I want to use the Garmin and downloaded the working title zip...readme directs to drag (for example) the folder workingtitle-g1000 to the community folder, but the only place I can find a folder named workingtitle-g1000 is in the /docs folder. Please advise how to locate the necessary folder in the zip.
