6800XT Benchmarks anyone?

Featured Replies

Surely they’ll be today with them launching tomorrow. Can already see that the unboxing videos are already out there with the big content makers on YouTube but still no sign of the benchmarks.

You won't see any until tomorrow 14:00 GMT.

I’m sure with the 3000 series we got them 24 hours before?

Like you said many YouTubers received their copies and produced unboxing videos yesterday. Almost all of them said they wouldn't be allowed to show benchmarks until tomorrow.

Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX MB; AMD 7800X3D CPU; Deepcool LT520 AIO Cooler; 64 Gb G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO DDR5 6000; Win11 Pro; P3D V5.4; 1 Samsung 990 2Tb NVMe SSD: 1 Crucial 4Tb MX500 SATA SSD; 1 Samsung 860 1Tb SSD; Gigabyte Aorus Extreme 1080ti 11Gb VRAM; Toshiba 43" LED TV @ 4k; Honeycomb Bravo.

It's a win for me. Also, the 6800 XT can be overclocked pretty easily to 2.5 GHz, whereas the 3080 is not easily overclockable.

Looks like the 3080 is better at 4K.  Maybe wait to see how the 6900XT does?

Performance of the 6800XT is disappointing. And even with only 10Gb of VRAM the 3080 seems to be faster. I'm still wondering if 10Gb is really a problem on the 3080 in 4K. The 16Gb of the 6800XT doesn't seem to help.

5700 XT seems to be faster in 1080p and 1440p!

Maybe the results are better when MSFS 2020 is migrated to D3D12.

Same thoughts here. Also, Nvidia has DLSS which is most likely superior to the solution that AMD will offer (when?) Will be important for future VR use
